Hiya! Currently using this mod, and I notice it defaults to DGK, with the iridium wine valued at 11,640 (16,296 with artisan seller bonus) and I wanted it to be set to default. So I closed my game without saving, and set the config option to vanilla, where in theory, the iridium wine should be valued at 18,000 (25,200 with artisan seller bonus) however, despite the change to the vanilla option, the sell price is still valued at the DGK option.
It is worth noting that I am loading the same save file, and opening the same cask, harvesting the iridium wine. I don't know if I need to put in a new sweet gem berry in there for the change to take effect?
(my apologies if this didn't make sense im tired asf rn lol)
Edit: Changing the config option to any other variant, such as DNK, DNJ, etc has no effect on the sell value of the wine for me. It is still 11,640/16,296
Apologies for the late reply. I think it's a limitation of Content Patcher. New sweet gem berries and sweet gem berry products will be affected after the config is changed, but existing instances of them will be unchanged. (This limitation also the case when installing the mod onto an existing save.) There might be ways to manually get the items to update, like merging stacks with new sweet gem berries / products, but I don't remember which you place on the other.
Pretty much anything (generic) you can do with any and all fruits can be done with the Sweet Gem Berry with this mod. So... I haven't tried it yet, but it should work.
I can confirm that it is working properly in Stardew Valley 1.6.x as far as my testing shows. Newly obtained Sweet Gem Berries are marked as fruit, sell for the adjusted value according the preset set in the config, and can be turned into wine and jelly. Everything seems to be in order! :)
I think, for it to work properly for everyone, everyone needs to have it installed and have the same config settings for the mod. Looking at Content Patcher's documentation, it seems like the game will function even if other people don't have the mod or don't have the same configs, but the items may change their properties sometimes and generally act strangely and inconsistently between players. I'm not certain, though.
I came across ShadowKid's problem as well, where older harvest stacks of Gem Berries didn't immediately change to "fruit". To fix this all you have to do is separate them individually (using controller this button was X for me) and then you can restack them and they'll function without issue. Love mods that add QoL fixes like this, wonderfully done!
For some reason the berries are not being recognized as a fruit, I'm going to redownload and try once again but I'm getting no errors in my SMAPI log, could it be a conflicting mod. My mod list includes, [CP] No More Bowlegs, [CP] Portrait Anime Mods ohoDavi, BetterArtisanGoodIcons, ChestAnywhere, CommunityCenterHelper, ContentPatcher, ForecasterText, NoFenceDecay, and UIInfoSuite2. I need to update my Community Center Helper and the anime portraits but I didnt think they would have anything to do with your mod. It also looks like there are no instructions for when the variantcode is set to "Vanilla". UPDATE: I used to closet variant code to vanilla and spread the berries out in my inventory, all but one is labeled fruit so maybe when I harvest the next batch they will all be fruit now too see if the "Vanilla" code works. So excited about this!!
Thank you so much for this mod :) - I never understood growing sweet gem berries and not being able to make them into artisan goods after all that waiting and rarity.

I could be wrong, though.
If you notice any specific issues, let me know.
