Love this mod!! It's so cute! I endorsed! I can't figure out how to get the pew-pew sound when the mice show up to calm down, though. It's pretty loud.
Sorry about the late reply. You can open the file config.json in the mod directory and set the volume to a lesser value. Example of a config.json with a volume of 0.2: { "Volume": 0.2, "Pitch": 0.3 }
sorry to butt into this but i have a related remark: i have every volume slider in the game turned all the way down and am still hearing mice noises lmao.
Would it be possible to make the mice spawnrate configurable? I love the mod, just feel it a bit too much in the a small town like this, its like mouse every where. LOL
To avoid confusion, I suggest moving 1.1 to 'old files' and 1.1.1 to 'main files'. The updates section is mainly for files where you need to download the main file, and then apply the update over it.
Do you mind if I disable the audio associated with the mice? I find it a bit jarring every time I transition zones, and it sounds a bit too sci-fi for my taste as well. Love this mod though otherwise!
Thanks for your feedback! It would be easy to add a config parameter to disable audio. I can do that but if you want to do it yourself you find the source code on https://github.com/mus-candidus/MiceInTheValley
This is great! Though it bothers me a bit that the mice can run over water and through basically anything. Would it be possible that the mice would fade sooner like the bunnies for example? So you couldn't see how they run over everything.
I'm working on stopping the mice at obstacles. In the meantime we have to accept they're supermice :-) @Opolovnik: Just copy it to your mod directory. Do you have installation issues?
Thank you very much! Unfortunately, custom critters are a little bit complicated: In SDV all critters are on a single texture. You can modify a critter's appearance by editing the corresponding part of that texture. If you want more than that you need an SMAPI mod that provides a custom critter class to load your custom sprite and some logic to add it to the game. That's what MiceInTheValley does.
I wonder if rjames might possibly have been confused by the existence of the Custom Critters framework - critter packs for it are installed into a folder inside its mod folder, where this would just go directly into Mods. Regardless, thanks for more mice in the valley, I hope to check it out soon :D
