okie guys - it turns out the parent mod Custom Furniture hasn't been loading CF mods correctly and we're still waiting on an official update. BUT I can't just leave you guys hanging when I've found a temporary resolution for in the meantime! you can use this awesome unofficial version that I just tested out! Which is also the first time I've gotten any of my CF mods to actually load in the catalog since the 1.4 update so this is a big deal lmao (plus I won't need to update my mod for it to work like I thought!!)

just make sure to throw out your old Custom Furniture mod before adding this one and then you should be ready to rock after that with all your CF mods working again ~ and that's all thanks to all the awesome stardew modding babies choosing to work their asses off to get everything working for us and updated for 1.4 literally just out of kindness and their love for stardew. we don't deserve them y'all :')
