Hey, I just wanted to thank you for giving me something to use bugmeat on besides spamming bait!
Though, I think most of the bugmeat recipes need a good buffing. Some of the ones I looked at actually restore less health and stamina than their non-bugmeat ingredients.
Edit: I'm going to fiddle around with some of the values. Perhaps just increasing the number of items produced or required, rather than buffing the items, might be sufficient (producing 5 bowls of bugmeat broth for example, or just requiring 1 white algae and bugmeat instead of 5, since the broth doesn't provide any stat buffs, and 5 white algae provides +45 hp and +100 energy by itself).
Thanks for your input. The recipes definitely need a buff as I was a bit overly strict worried of making them too overpowered that I made them more of a novelty. I don't really use food ingame and mainly use it as a gift / complete collections.
If yourself or anyone else wants to put forward buffs for the recipes (hp & energy buff rather than increased output is preferred) then I'll be happy to tweak the mod but at the moment this is more of a novelty mod to me than a gameplay mechanic.
Hi! Thank you for this amazing Mod! In The Mutant Grub Kebab the +4 Defense Buff doesn't work. I change it to +3 editing the .json file, added +1 Editibility and it works now! :)
Hi there! Was looking forward to this mod, but wasn't sure if it would work with SVE, since they moved the Adventurer's Guild, so I chose to get the recipes by mail. It didn't work that way, unfortunately! I was just pottering around my farm in the early morning, and I went into my farmhouse to put down some preserve jars. When I came back out, my character froze as if in a farmhouse event scene, a message told me I had read Linus' recipe book, and I couldn't move or skip the scene. I had to close my game without saving. I'm going to try again with the event active, but I wanted to let you know there might be an issue there.
Thanks for your feedback. It should work fine even if the Adventurer's Guild has been moved (because events work based on the player entering the building) but I will test to be sure. I did some pretty thorough testing and never ran into a freeze issue, the way the mod works for the mail part is you first read the mail, then the next time you enter your farm you should get the scene where you actually read the book. I will do some testing hopefully today.
It could be interacting with a different mod that alters the mail, I have several. Good news, though, I was able to get the recipes through the event just fine! I'm very happy, this is a fun way to use something that was almost useless before. Thank you.
