Just tried the mod, and I think it looks at the first slot it can find ingredients in and tries to use that. If slot 7 has 30 fruit and slot 8 has 999, it will try using slot 7 and complain that it can't.
I don't know what is causing this since I have only quality of life mods installed (skill tracker, show sell price, etc), but sometimes the kegs randomly stop working. I placed three of every type next to each other inside a shed, and a regular keg outside to track the process. The regular keg was done, but the modded ones weren't. On the next day, only 2 iron and 1 gold kegs were done, and the other ones... well it's been 13 days and they're still doing the animation.
