I just wanted to reassure and clarify a few things for you guys.
First thing, no I'm not dead. A lot of real life things just got in the way back then and I unfortunately just never regained the motivation to continue the mod. Time went on and I moved onto different projects (sorry.) So for all the people concerned that I might've actually died, don't worry I'm still here.
I'd also like to apologise for just disappearing without saying a word. It just felt easier for me to do that back then, and the longer I waited, the harder it got for me to say something. Four years later and now I'm finally saying something. (Better late than never? :P) Sorry, everyone.
For anyone wondering whether I might continue this mod, unfortunately, no, I won't be. As I stated previously, I have moved onto other things, and to be honest, I haven't played Stardew Valley in years and am so behind on the current modding scene that my simple replace method of modding probably seems primitive by comparison.
Lastly, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you. I am so flattered by how invested you guys are in trying to keep it this old mod alive and up to date. I'm glad that there are others out there who are more motivated than me to do this and I just wanted to say thank you, I don't want this mod to die either.
These days I am using the "More Elegant Farmer Body" mod by Kyuya258369 It has been updated, and there's also a nice little clothing pack that they've made. Other modded clothes sometimes don't look quite right - primarily shirts - everything else seems to look good. So you just might have to be more choosey with tops when it comes to clothing. Not many issues in that regard given how much variety there is out there now, I've found plenty of things that work just fine.
There's also another korean mod floating around called Peach Body (a lot of body type varieties in that one) - but it's not here on nexus and might require an account on a korean modding platform / guides on how to set it up since it isn't in english.
pretty this mod doesn't work anymore, not sure if only it's only me but I think SMAPI is incompatible with the patch. I have tried everything that has been recommended but the bar is still there. Cool mod tho shame it's dead.
Have you tried my update? (https://github.com/tim-elmer/feminine-female-farmer/releases/latest) I haven't played for a while, but it should still work (feel free to open an issue on the repo if not).
I make no promise to keep this up-to-date, as I don't have much interest in playing with the mod enabled, but anyone is welcome to PR fixes and improvements, or bug me with issues.
whueezong wrote: Hello! How do I install this updated version? Do I have to replace files or can I just stick it in my mod folder? I tried to put it in with my mods and it said that the version isn't supported. Any help would be appreciated.
Create a Folder in your Mods Folder, I suggest naming it something like "[CP] Feminine Female Farmer" and then extract the contents of the .zip file into it
What cat9412 said. Keep in mind that you'll also need Content Patcher.
Fairly sure I implemented that. Does setting `Face` to `Berets` in the `config.json` not work as described at https://github.com/tim-elmer/feminine-female-farmer ?
help!! something happened with the original .xnb files and i dont know how to get them back now, i want to remove the farmer girl xnb. does anyone know how to get the original back? can anyone share a copy of the original file?
hi hi! it's always wise to make a backup of the original file in order to avoid such situations. Here is how to make a backup: before placing the farmer_girl_base.xnb file, you rename the old one farmer_girl_base.xnbOLD therefore if you want to go back to the old one, you just have to rename it again!
I have been in your situation before. I don't know how safe this solution is, so I can't really recommend it to you, but I have deleted the file all together (in your case no more farmer_girl_base.xnb) and then fixed the game through steam. Steam notices one file is missing and replaces it immediately.
The 100% safe way to get your original file back is to make a backup of all your mods somewhere else on your computer, then uninstall and reinstall the game.
If you have other questions you can ask me. Hope it's going well!
1. Does anybody know if the original creator of this mod actually passed away?? I've seen multiple comments now saying "since the creator died," which is... well, kind of distressing. ._. Is this just people's way of saying they've been gone for a while and died in a metaphorical sense, or did something actually happen to them? :( 2. Does anybody know how to get around the issue of the brown bar appearing across the middle of the shirts in this mod? It's the only issue I'm having right now.
oh dear, I hope they didn't die... I'm having this same issue now. I was tryna see if I can mess around with it enough to fix it, I'll let you know if I get it working
edit: install the feminine female farmer from here https://github.com/tim-elmer/feminine-female-farmer/releases/tag/2.1.0
open the content file with notepadd++ or another similar program and edit "format 1.13.0" to "format 1.3.0" as was discussed above, fixed it for me, hope that helps
double edit: just realizing that some clothes are invisible. dunno a fix for that.. you can use the command "debug cmenu" to reopen the character menu to choose a shirt but it is limited to only the shirts your get in the beginning. all other shirts such as the bridal shirt, mineral dog jacket, denim jacket, etc seem to be invisible.
Heya ! I found that you can fix the invisible clothes by copying the sprites from the shirts.png file (in assets) that came with the mod, into the original one, replacing only the shirts that are modified, then pack a xnb file with your edited png file and the original json file (you must unpack, with the xnb editor, the original file before, and make sure you did a backup of your og files) and putting it back into content folder (farmer one) I think it's just because the mod is old and there were new ones with the recent versions of the game. Hope that helps !

I haven't tested it recently, but it should still work.
