It looks like Windows Defender is having some trouble with my files for some reason... The only difference from Meggiee's original files is I added credits in the manifest and updated the version number. If you're having trouble, though, Meggiee has very kindly shared a dropbox link (URL text follows in case the hyperlink is causing problems).
Oops! I didn't know there was a new version of the original mod and I did the Spanish translation of that mod, I just finished it and everything loaded perfectly.
I guess I'll have to do the translation again, plus I had given it i18n support TT____TT
Hello! I really loved having this mod in my game, since you've been focused on mods for your kid, would you mind if I helped and gave a crack at converting these bunnies to 1.6? In that case, I would send the files to you to post here :)
Thank you! I have managed to convert them, keeping all info intact, but I have a small point of indecisiveness: I can make it so that the 4 bunnies only take 1 spot in the shop, for the sake of making it more compact (the different shop icon would be lost, only 1 would be visible, even tho you can still buy all 4, just with a random chance) or keep the original version (where there are 4 different icons)... since it's not my mod, I'm going to send you both version, so you can decide what you prefer :) I'm testing extensively, and will send you a dropbox link with the files...thank you for trusting me with helping you! Edit: here's the link! https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/ffnkn6sivf4w4crf4yjar/AGHHLMTB8bSLTJQaaPJtESM?rlkey=r13t4u5vwxpuxxge7kxjp0vvf&dl=0
If it'd make your life easier, I wouldn't mind converting the geckos too, since I saw some people were interested :)
It was my pleasure! Here you go, the link to the geckos, tested in game :) https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/vsd1yqafv1pn37ud6kyrm/AD_RGb9K-W0kpgW6vVfjYUc?rlkey=e8ag26jy1z28nosequ0vj78pk&dl=0
Thanks! What she wants is, uh, mostly two things: 1. Every bachelor/bachelorette must have at least one child who moves in with the farmer when you marry them. Also, there has to be an adoption center for all the kids she designed with that SDV portrait maker (...which I have to make sprites to match...) who she can adopt (invite to be roommates). 2. It bothers her that nobody in the game has a bathroom. So I have to, uh, add bathrooms. to every indoor map. Including all the expansions.
I literally have kids she designed for all the vanilla, SVE, ES, and RSV bachelors/bachelorettes. Also for the wizard... And a few custom NPCs... And I think she's made over a dozen custom orphans so far? And she wants more expansions and more babies, so the witch from Distant Lands, the characters from Zuzu City, the shopkeepers from Garden Village... It's a lot, hahaha.
I figure, while I'm at it, maybe I'll just make a new town to hold the adoption center and some characters I want to stick in the game. Something to make it feel more immersive? But maybe I'll do that separately for people who also just want a gazillion kids.
...This is far beyond my current coding level, so I'm, uh, I'm thinking it'll take a while...
Wow, that's a super interesting project, but also a big one! Good luck to you!! :) I do think she's right with the question of the bathrooms, not one villager has one, not even the bar ahah And at least in East Scarp Jacob already has a kid xD (or wait, he is not a bachelor, so probably doesn't count) If you ever need some help, I can try to give a hand, even if my coding level is definitely lower than yours ahaha
I appreciate the offer, for sure! I think that probably I ought to do it myself, though, because nobody is pickier than my daughter about having things exactly the way she wants them. XD No need to subject anyone else to infinite rounds of revisions.
She also wants the bachelors to be bachelorettes because she likes girls better, so I might try my hand at making a gender swap mod packaged in it... Depends on how hard it is to edit the sprites and everything. Guess we'll see. Either that or she might want to make them all twins. She has twin cousins and is fascinated by twins in general, haha. Hopefully she won't ask me to do both... I'm a total pushover for my daughter, so I'd probably do it.
Well, if it makes your life easier, there are plenty of gender bend mods here, so maybe you're able to take that as it is? Anyway, I'm sure she'll appreciate you doing all this for her!!
Sorry, I made a tiny little mistake in the shop description of the 4 single icons version, I fixed it up and put the right version in the same dropbox link!
If I can find a conversion guide for BFAV to CP, I'll take a crack at it. I know that I've sort of left everyone hanging by leaving modding... My daughter just started school this year, so I'm slowly coming back around to old projects. >_>;; Mostly I'm focused on making a big mod for her, since she's just started playing Stardew herself, but if it's not a huge project, I think I can make the time...
For anyone that is going through a lot of pain and suffering trying to get this to work-
1. Download the unofficial version posted by alexiy777 2. Replace the code in the content.json with excerius' code, however: 3. You will get errors if you leave it as-is, and you'll only be able to purchase jackalopes: this is because there's a blank space in the code for snow bunnies, dust bunnies, and killer bunnies that interferes with them being called.
I did all of that, but for some reason the bunnies don't show up at Marnies ;_; I don't get any error message in smapi either, Marnie just doesn't sell them. I also have "TooManyAnimals" installed, so it can't be that the menu is too full. I have 3 other BFAV animal mods, and those show up in Marnie's menu.
Hello, I'm not sure if you're aware, but your unofficial update causes the rabbits to drop two items each if you have an auto-grabber in the coop. The second set remains on the ground, which you can pick up normally. This happens with the squirrel mod you updated as well.
I've been trying to get this mod to work in my game for the longest time, but still am having no luck. I have all required mods and each is up-to-date, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Idk if you're still looking for this, but I took the time to rewrite the code to get the mod to work. You can paste this into your config folder over all the other stuff. Mod works fine for me now.
For what it's worth, when I tried excerius' fix, I had to edit the content.json, not the config (as there isn't one, even after launch), and then also had to modify the end of the manifest to read:
When I go to purchase one of the rabbits, I get to the coop selection screen but I'm not able to actually select a coop. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Do they need a big coop or deluxe? thank you!

Jackalopes work because the code is like this:
"Sprites": {
"Adult": "assets/jackalope.png",
"Baby": "assets/babyjackalope.png"
And the others break because they are like this:
"Sprites": {
"Adult": "assets/dust bunny.png",
"Baby": "assets/babydust bunny.png"
For example remove the spaces between "babydust" and "bunny", like so:
"Baby": "assets/babydustbunny.png"
Do this for each line of code under "sprites'' with spaces in the .png file!
