Hi there, I don't know if you're still maintaining this mod, but I noticed that the content.json has the incorrect apostrophe (they're curly instead of straight and vertical) and there's a typo in one of the lines. I've uploaded a screenshot here of an example of the incorrect apostrophe and the typo (it should be "due" instead of "do"): https://imgur.com/a/UxrpHEJ The incorrect apostrophe is used throughout the content.json, so I fixed that for myself with a quick find and replace, but I thought I'd let you know. Hello! I apologize for the lateness of my response - reality kept me away from the modding community for quite some time. Fear not: you can feed the Governor whatever you like! Dialogue is based solely on what year of the game you are currently in, since the Governor has no way to actually track friendship values. Poison him all you like - he won't suspect a thing ;)
This is just dialogue, right? I think my sleepy mind when I first downloaded it, saw 'friendship' and thought it actually added the option to gain hearts with the governor! I really enjoy the dialogue so far though, it's in depth and so nice to see, compared to the short replies everyone gives! Fantastic job on this beauty. <3
Thank you SO much for this sweet comment! It made my day. It is, indeed, just dialogue - for now, anyways. In truth, this was a test to see how I could implement the Governor into the game as a full-fledged NPC. Which is something I am still working on! But other obligations have, unfortunately, taken priority. I'll be sure to keep you updated should I manage to make the Governor a complete character in-game one day :)

Potentially so! I'm certainly not against seeing other such improvements to festivals all across Stardew. It would certainly enhance the experience, no?
That being said, on a personal end, I hadn't planned on expanding the dialogue for other NPCs (such as the various Tourists throughout the Fall Fair). But hey, if other people plan on doing so, good on them! It might not be the last we see of the Governor, though ;)
