Trying to understand what this mod actually does. I thought that it would remind you of fish that you have not caught yet, but reading the comments here, it seems like this is just listing fish per season and has nothing to do with your progress in the game. Is that correct?
Also, it is worded very awkwardly which would drive me bonkers reading it in the game. Is there an easy way to edit the wording ourselves?
Sorry I was out of town, but it does indeed tell you which fish you need to catch, based on your current season. As for the editing, you can edit the default.json file that is inside the "FishReminder/i18n/" folder. Just don't edit anything inside the {{ and }}
That's my mistake, I had multiple mods opened at once, and edited the wrong manifest. The new 1.0.3 patch will fix that. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
Right now it only lists fish that, Fish.xnb shows can be caught based on the season you currently are in. So If you're in winter, it will only list fish from containing the winter season setting. As for weather, I do have some plans to make it include fish based on current weather.
The newest update will sort the fish by locations. For Seasonally Mail, just set all the options to false but the Monthly, that will only send you a mail at the beginning of each season.
also i noticed after you catch all the fish you still get letters that say "here are the fish you still need to catch: ". I don't know if you can put something in to stop the letters after you've caught them all or if we just need to edit the config to no longer send.
The mod is already translation ready, if you open "FishReminder/i18n/default.json", you can edit the values to the right, and send me a copy with which language it's translated into. I will check it out, if it passes, it will be added into the next update with credit to you.
I am getting reminders for fish that aren't in season. Example its summer (year 1) in my game and I am being reminded to go fish up Blob fish which are only able to be caught (without the sub mod which i dont have) in winter during the night market.
The way, that this looks it up, is by getting the information from the Fish.xnb file, then it checks to make sure it's able to be fished based on season checks. Im not entirely sure about the blobfish, but it's data shows that it is able to be fished any season

ie only fish caught in winter get sent to you in winter.
Or even sending the fish only caught in rain on rainy days?
perhaps the locations would also be cool (later game when you're missing a couple the list wouldn't be too long)
