This mod changes the artifact dig spots to a little glittering mound. I haven't gotten to test it out in all seasons very well, but I think I finally got it pretty good. If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve it feel free to let me know.
Disclaimer: I am not using the vanilla dirt, and didn't really test it out on that. This will probably look better if you're using one of the mods for darker dirt. I did test it on the beach and in winter and it is far more visible than you would think.

Install- Install the latest version of SMAPI.
- Install Content Patcher.
- Download this mod and unzip it into Stardew Valley/Mods.
- Run the game using SMAPI.
