1. Do you have the latest unofficial update for Custom Critters? here> https://community.playstarbound.com/threads/updating-mods-for-stardew-valley-1-4.156000/page-27#post-3354372
2. Did you correctly install the mod? When you extract the Mod, only add 1 Option. So either Seasonal Fairies or AllFairies, not both! (The author says you will have a fairie infestation, I mean, not that I miiiind that haha, but yeah no no)
Also make sure you install the mod INTO the Custom Critters Mod Folder. It goes Mods > CustomCritters > Critters > AllFairies or Seasonal Fairies
If this didn't help, please post a smapi log link using this: https://smapi.io/log
So this is super late, but hopefully it will be helpful if anyone else comes looking :D you have to copy the files from INSIDE the Seasonal / AllFairies folder, not just the folder itself. Moving Seasonal / AllFairies folder into the Critter folder will not work. So for seasonal, for example, it should look something like: Mods > CustomCritters > Critters > (4 different folders) SpringFairies, AutumnFairies, SummerFairies, WinterFairies

Hope I was able to help a little!
Mods > CustomCritters > Critters > (4 different folders) SpringFairies, AutumnFairies, SummerFairies, WinterFairies
Hope that helps!
