Ok, hear me out; most players WANT the kitchen so much that they will add it to the starter farmhouse, but I've recently discovered PIF and seen some truly lovely modular kitchen mods around that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but fully functional. But what if you're mid-way through a save and don't want to change to a completely modded farmhouse? What if you don't mind the vanilla house except for this one small detail that's killing your OCD?

That's what this mod is for, to patch out the vanilla kitchen furniture and tiles so you can freely place your own fridges and cookstations from other mods wherever you want!

Want to move to a PIF pantry? Done!

Turn your bedroom area into a kitchen so it's all tucked away nice and neat? Presto!

Want to destroy the patriarchy and all its paraphernalia? You can start with this stubborn little kitchen trying to tell you where and how you should furnish your home, sure! (You gotta start somewhere I suppose).

The mod targets both the first upgraded house and the second, as well as the marriage versions, and should avoid doing anything bizarre with the maps. I also kept the room as a separate entity for anyone that wants to decorate it apart from the living room. You can place your furniture anywhere you want, so use the space as you see fit~

Update 1.0.2 also targets the farmhouse on Ginger Island!

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!

Do NOT install this mod without first emptying out your fridge!!

You WILL lose everything in your default kitchen storage otherwise, and not even convenient chests or chests anywhere will save you. Make sure you take EVERYTHING out one in-game day before you save and install the mod for the next time you restart SMAPI.

It should be safe to start a new game without any problems, just don't forget to add a kitchen/cooking mod so you can still cook somewhere else. (I'm using Kisaa's Buildable Cozy Rustic Kitchen, but there are others, and you can always make your own if you're artistically inclined!)

(NB. I haven't tested the patch with the second upgrade since I haven't gotten that far in my game yet, but it's the exact same principle so it theoretically should work out of the box. If you find any bugs, let me know and I'll get on it.)
