I'm using other animal mods, like Elle's New Barn Animals. Does this mod work with those? (Also, I can't find the horse icon in Marnie's shop.) Please fix this or help me understand how to get the horses. Thank you,
So, I was trying to use this mod for several days, and I SERIOUSLY TRY EVERYTHING TO USE IT, until I noticed that... oh no!, apparently Paritee forgot to put the horse icon for the store, I want to think that's it the problem by which the horses do not appear (and in fact, most of the comments that I saw about this mod report the same problem), since all my other animals from other mods do contain their respective shop icon, so if someone has the complete file please let me know because i would really love to have free horses on my farm
So, for immersive integrity, could the horses drop horse hair as opposed to wool? Maybe a simple recolored hay or wool icon? TrentXV created manure -> fertilizer for his bulls, maybe using the loom for refinement of the hair into violin strings, paintbrushes, etc. Or, even simpler, collaborate with TrentXV to adopt the manure system so that it's easier to code? It feels like it would really make this mod shine.
Either way, thank you for your hard work growing the SDV metagame, it highlights the appeal of the game and its dedicated fanbase.
Thank you so much for this amazing Mod! I have what I think is a really dumb question, but I've been searching for hours with no answer. I got everything working, but I can't for the life of me find recolored images for the horses to add color variety? I have the brown horses working fine, but I'd love to add some color, I just don't have any recolors to add in. What are other folks using? I'm sure I'm just being a huge noob here but I was hoping someone could help me!
I know this exactly a month late, but this is the answer. The mod only comes with the brown horse, you have to make other types yourself, in fact in the assets folder you can find a base sprite file(? it's a file type i can't open so i'm not certain, but the file name is sprite base) that can be used to make your own variants, which have to be added to the second config file of BFAV(in the folder within bfav that has "config" in the name) as well as the main config file. I wish Paritee provided the other types she showcased both here and in BFAV itself, but oh well. I haven't seen anyone who has made Sport Horse skins yet, so you're just stuck with what you have, dude. If I didn't have my own mod projects going on i'd add some variants myself because of Paritee's false advertising(no offense, Paritee! it's just you kinda made it sound like there would be more than 1 variant).
hello! I spent about two days adding in like 20 horse colors/patterns. I put in all the code and stuff too, and followed all the instructions VERY carefully.. I tried everything i know. I don't know whats wrong, but this is what happens.

I use Stardew Valley 1.2.31 and the mod loads kinda but then it says "this version uses 1.5 ( needs 1.0).
Does this mod still work on my version of stardew valley?

I can't find any of the shop icons, or descriptions and prices that I should be adding to the config.json
I have followed the directions as best I can, and I can't get it to work with the SMAPI commands.
Downloaded this file, and added the contents to "Mods".
I used both "Sport Horse" and "Horse" in the SMAPI command line, and got errors for both because there was no shop icon?
I don't see a "description" anywhere to use either.
I'm about to give up.
