Dependencies:

Highly recommended to use SMAPI and Content Patcher.



INSTALL GUIDE:

1. Make sure you have the latest version of SMAPI installed and running.

2. Make sure you have the latest version of Content Patcher installed in your "Mods" folder, which should have been created automatically by SMAPI if you've followed the steps on their page right.

3. Download the .zip for this mod.

4. Unzip the zip.

5. The folder you've extracted should be called:
[CP] Big Fish
Slap this bad boy into your Mods folder, the same folder Content Patcher should be in.

6. Run the game.

7. Enjoy bigger fish.



INSTALL GUIDE WITHOUT SMAPI OR CONTENT PATCHER IF YOU'RE NASTY:

1. Download the .zip for this mod.

2. Unzip the zip.

3. The folder you've extracted should be called:
[CP] Big Fish
Open this folder.

4. Inside, alongside some text files and a readme, there should be a folder called:
fishyyy
Open this folder.

5. Inside there should be a file titled:
Fish.xnb
This file is an edit of the vanilla file by the same name, located here:
steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Content/Data
If you want to install this mod without Content Patcher, you can delete the original Fish.xnb file, and then drag the modded Fish.xnb file from the [CP] Big Fish/fishyyy folder into the Data folder. THIS WILL REPLACE THE ORIGINAL Fish.xnb FILE IN THERE. IF YOU WANT TO UNINSTALL THE MOD, YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE OUT THE MODDED Fish.xnb FILE AND PUT THE ORIGINAL Fish.xnb FILE BACK IN ITS PLACE. SAVE A BACKUP OF THE ORIGINAL Fish.xnb FILE IF YOU WANT TO EVER BE ABLE TO UNINSTALL THE MOD.

6. Enjoy bigger fish.



Warnings:

THIS MOD MAY INTERFERE WITH FISHING OVERHAUL MODS THAT MAKE THE SIZES ACTUALLY MATTER, OR MODS THAT ADD NEW FISH. USE WITH CAUTION.

ANY CHANGES THIS MOD MAKES TO THE SIZES OF FISH IN YOUR COLLECTION TAB ARE PERMANENT. IF YOU CATCH A 60 INCH SALMON AND UNINSTALL THE MOD, THAT SALMON WILL STILL BE 60 INCHES. THE 60 INCH SALMON IS NOW A PART OF YOUR SAVE FILE. YOU CANNOT RID YOURSELF OF IT.

This mod does not change the quality or sell price of the fish you catch. You will still have to use vanilla methods or other mods to catch gold and iridium quality fish.

As of uploading, this mod is 1.6 compatible. If later versions come out where new fish are added, it may break those fish in the game. I can't guarantee I will consistently update this mod as I have the commitment of a peanut, and this is the first functioning mod I've ever made.
