Hello, could you please tell me how to find Baby Rock Crabs? I'm currently in Fall, and whenever I break open rocks in either the Mines or the Quarry, I only catch Red-Backed Salamander.
Just wanted to come back to this and note that this is my favorite pack for NitV so far probably. Turn over a rock and there's a critter!!! Real and alive
Downloaded the new content, first time user. Please ignore if this creature is not from you mod, I think it is since you have a scorpion discoverable from mine floors.
Similar to a complaint I have with Dark Creatures and Buggy Bugs that I've filed with them. The aggressive bugs have infinite agro range from where you discover them. I find a scorpion in the mines at an early part in my file, nothing unlocked, and I don't have the net. The bug chases me across the entire mine level without any way to defend myself from it. I can't run away, I can't stop it attacking. I can't even stop to hit rocks to try and find a ladder, since this scorpion is really fast and doesn't even pause its attack. I need to leave the mine floor, abandon my current goals, reset the floor and my progress that day. This could easily be solved by giving the bugs a range that they will chase you, or an option to configure per animal which ones you want to appear.
What you've done is force your users to interact with your mod, instead of letting us choose to interact. I'm fine with letting the sprites be minor annoyances or background fauna to enrich the game experience. I'm not willing to let a mod negatively affect me in a way I feel unfair The only positive here is the damage the scorpion did seemed ok, just 5 HP, unlike the other mod packs 20-40 damage per hit on some insects.
Also, could you give any indication on your description page which animals can cause you damage?
Coming to grab NiTV for a new save and saw this and squealed from excitement!!!! I can't wait to catch them all. Thank you for sharing your art with us!
What is the origin of this butterfly? Is it based on a real-life species, or is it purely fictional? Also, was the white outline intentional? It stands out compared to other insects and modded butterflies I use.
Its a real butterfly with a beautiful white outline. The name is the same as in real life "Purple-shot Copper Butterfly"
The only fictional creatures in this mod are the golden earth worm and the baby rock/meteorite/truffle crabs. The Antarctic midge is also not really a grey-blue, generally they are pretty black. But I wanted to include them as they are one of the few insect species capable of surviving in Antarctica
I discovered your great mods a few days after I started a new save! Can I add Nature In The Valley and this mod midway through my game? And are they compatible with another mod that adds wildlife —— SH's Wild Animals?
Yes to both! There shouldnt be any issues adding NiTV or it's packs mid way through a save. The animals added through SH's Wild Animals will definitely work the same as they normally would, but wont be catchable.
When I try to Manual Download my Malwarebytes stops the DL with a "malware warning". I looked through the files and everything seems fine! Is this a false alarm? My computer believes every lie AI tells it apparently, apologies.
Hello! Just wanted to thank for "exclude mammals and birds" option - they are cool to see in insectarium but deffo don't fit into a terrarium xD I guess field mouse and shrew would be ok - but stuff like red panda or koala just seem too big for these small boxes.
I got this mod as a way to add something small and new in, I have over 1600 hours in SD so a refresh is needed. I actually like/use this mod a lot more than I thought I would! It's very cute and entertaining. I find myself hopping on the bus to check the encyclopedia all the time. Thanks for the cool mod!

Info about where to find creatures is at the bottom of the mod page!
Let us know if you have any ideas, recommendations, things you'd like added, etc!

I'll add this config at some stage to the base mod and buggy bugs as well when I can.
Thankyou for the feedback.
