Handy mod, and it adds useful quality of life features beyond just what's in the mod's name, for example, it's much easier to transfer entire chest contents between chests with the "Dump chest into inventory" and the "Dump inventory into chest" functions. I can indeed see the inspiration from Minecraft and Minecraft inventory mods, and it's good stuff. The tidbit about "in cross-platform multiplayer PC players without this mod scrambling the mobile player's carefully organized chests" is interesting, too.
Could you add config options (and ideally Generic Mod Config Menu support), namely an option to reverse Clicking and Shift-Clicking behavior (for both left and right clicks)? So the option will make the default click more like vanilla Stardew rather than like vanilla Minecraft - i.e. a setting to make the mod act opposite from as it now, so that, in the chest interface, clicking an item stack will instantly transfer it, but shift-clicking will pick it up with the cursor, allowing to manually organize/decorate the chest contents. My rationale is that most of the time, or for most chests, I don't want to manually organize them, only certain chests, so this is easier, making me hold shift only some of the time, instead of most of the time. Also, some players may want the ability to customize some keybinds. Thanks.

That could simply be an optional, configureable keybind (bindable by keyboard key or mouse key). Then, mouses have extra buttons; practically all have middle click (pressing the scroll wheel), some mouses have more buttons, which can also be bound, including in Stardew.

I love using this mod, but I think I may have encountered a bug. I can't seem to put an item into the Luau soup. No matter if I click, shift + click, or ctrl + click, it just picks up the item to move it around. I cannot place it in the soup for some reason.
Hi! I absolutely love this mod, but I recently installed The Return of More Backpack Upgrades, and this mod doesn't seem to recognize my extra slots. It just acts like my inventory is full when I try to add or remove an item from the extra spaces. If it isn't too much trouble, could you have a look at compatibility? I'd really appreciate it!

Edited to add: I switched from More Backpack Upgrades to Bigger Backpack (https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1845), which doesn't use Custom Backpack Framework. It works perfectly with this mod! I guess it must be an issue with Custom Backpack Framework.
I would love to use this mod, as I really like how the mobile version handles the inventory & chests, but there seems to be a conflict with the 'Chests Anywhere' mod.
Nothing can be put into the Shipping Bin while using that mod, it gets put into another chest instead.
Is this something that is easy to fix? It's a bit of a deal breaker for me.
It's hard to believe after so many years of this game that there's still room for new "must have" mods in the landscape but I found a hole to fill. Now I just need to let all the Mobile Converts and Minecrafters know that it exists and shoot that download count up to 1M+ 😎
For anybody following this. I think I've worked out all the major issues. It's just gonna need testing around various places in the game to ensure it doesn't break any menus that I'm not intending to patch. Let me know if you find any issues and I'll get them fixed ASAP.
Glad you like this! I made this mod for myself because I first played on mobile and could never get used to not having that level of organization. Also, with Mobile<->PC multiplayer now possible, this causes havoc with chests. Mobile players can organize a chest nicely but as soon as a PC player grabs an item the whole inventory gets shuffled. This mod prevents that from happening.

I use different mod folders for vanilla SV, SVE etc, & this is now added to my list of 'mods for every game'. :)
