Place the folder correctly: Move the entire unzipped BVPortraits folder to: Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods\Portraiture\Portraits
4. Enable the High-Resolution Portrait in the Game: Launch the game and talk to a Baldur's Village NPC to open a dialogue. When you see the 1/4 portrait, press "p" to activate the high-resolution portrait and view the full image.
5. Troubleshooting: If you've completed all the above steps but the portraits still don’t display correctly, please try the following:

i. If not:

Since you see the small box, the Portraiture mod is installed correctly. Next, press p to cycle through and check if the "BVPortraits" folder is present in the small box.
i. If the folder name is missing:
The Portraiture mod can’t locate the correct folder. Ensure you have extracted the "BVPortraits" folder (with all images) correctly into the target location. If your files are in a folder named something like BVPortraits-30888-1-6-0-1741315288, it means a 2-layer folder was moved into the target location, which Portraiture mod cannot read. Instead, move the inner folder 'BVPortraits' (not the parent folder with the long numbers) into the target location, and delete the empty parent folder.
***Note: This indicates that the two-layer folder was accidentally moved to the target location.
Not exactly a bug, since everything was still running smoothly in the game itself but caught this line repeating in SMAPI today. Was purchasing blood for Astarion and once I scrolled down to the Elixir of Human Versatility, it appeared. Persistently, lol. Only in the shop's menu. Should I throw in together a SMAPI log?
[game] Can't parse '0,0,255' as a color because it's not a hexadecimal code, RGB code, or color name.
Other than that, I'm enjoying the mod, thank you for this delightful work! Can't wait to marry my pet leech and smooch him senseless in Stardew too. :D
I am not that far into this mod, but I had to drop in to say holy heck that 3-heart scene is effective. I'm jealous, I wish I had written it. Good job! This mod is so beautiful, I keep giggling it as I'm playing it and it's forced me to slow down my playthrough on this save overall. I know there's more you want to add, and of course there's room for more - I would love to be able to romance my sweet princess, Gale someday - but the amount of content you've already given us (to download for free oml) is fantastic. Hi! New to SDV, new to BV. Is there someplace I can get info on events, items, and characters in BV similar to the SDV wiki? I have had so little interaction with the characters, and I don't know how to trigger things. Thanks!
As a both SDV and BG fan I found this mod -- and another, Baldur's Valley https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/20675 -- and made the mistake of installing both.
Result: a messy interference, though storywise the mods seem to fit together. Could you contact each other? Or at least warn people...
(I had downloaded interesting mods, and didn't notice that they were not cooperating until weird things (in a wrong way) started happening.
