I know this is unlikely, but this is my all-time favorite Sam to Samantha design. By a million miles. If you happen to update to fit 1.6, I would be over the moon.
Otherwise...your description says that you allow editing... Would it be all right to attempt an update myself? I'll understand if the answer is no! I'm worried that the permission only extends to the text files and I've misunderstood entirely...
At least two missing pronouns I discovered immediately: trying to enter Sam's room when you aren't friends gives the message that you can't enter "his" bedroom. Also if you try to talk to Sam at Joja Mart when Sam is working, the game says "Sam's on the clock... better not get him in trouble."
EDIT: Another one in the skateboarding scene where Mayor Lewis chews her out. If you pick the option to say that there's nowhere for her to skate, it says something about how HE has nowhere to skate.
EDIT 2: Saw your response about the "his room" text being hardcoded. Sorry for not reading further before :x
This mod is awesome. It adds a female character I actually like, and makes it so I don't have to look at Sam's impossible (and kind of awful) hair. Also, I'm all aboard the trans Sam headcanon.
I had a small issue applying it though. When I downloaded the mod I found folders with dialogue for each season individually, but when I looked for such folders in the game files I could only find a folder labled spring in the schedules folder. I wasn't able to find folders for any other seasons. I'm not sure if it has something to do with me having the mac version or if the mod is just slightly out of date; as a result, I'm not sure if I should have replaced what I did in the Spring folder. Is it likely to become an issue?
edit: Deleted this earlier, because I thought it had been mentioned already. But realized it hadn't, if you talk to Sam while she's working at JojaMart it still says he.
If you replace the folder labeled Spring with the one in this mod, the game won't load after your second year (when Kent arrives). As far as I can tell, nothing changes mod wise if you don't.
Very well done, editing the dialogue must've been some work, haven't found any incorrect lines yet. And the sprites look as if they're part of the original game, impressive!
I like to imagine Sam's still a boy but identifies as a girl, makes the Stardew Valley community a little more varied. ^^
Thank you very much!!! I like the trans Sam idea a lot! Anything that adds to Stardew's diversity is good. It's really exciting that we have members of the Stardew community that are engaging with the game in that way and seeking to add more diversity, and I hope to release some mods that add to Stardew's diversity in the future.

I am in the process of updating these assets for 1.5
