Hi! I’ve written here before and I’m very grateful for your help!Right now, I’m actively playing and completing club sets.
However, I’ve encountered a problem similar to the one described here earlier: when the set requires items that appear as errors.I fixed this before by selecting the advanced recipes option in WAG.
But now, after the WAG mod update, the “Bulletin Board” set has a few errors again.Could you please tell me what to do?

WAG has a new config setting that allows you to disable the basic items but keep the advanced. You'll want to make sure that's off - in other words, make sure WAG config has all of the item options enabled.

Oh I forgot to mention that - yeah, massively upgraded prizes too. Assuming that to the description now...

If you do a playthrough and feel they're unbalanced, lemme know! One of the goals of the mod was to update and balance the rewards too. I actually had kind of a hard time with that, keeping them on theme, balanced, but not providing needed items for other bundles

lol do you have any mod recommendations for helping increase item quality. I definitely want to try this my next playthrough, but I'm scared of the iridium quality bundles ;)

Community center completed!!! I had 2 vanilla bundles but I trashed the required items before completing them, so in my book that is fine. Also I had all possible and remixed bundles from completionist mod and 25% profit margin which I also highly recommend. For me, most of good rewards came too late except those that are essential for completing it. It took me 3 in game years to even complete my first bundle cause I was a noob and had no idea how Mastery works, so it made rewards less impactful. Also almost in all bundles I had one item I had trouble with, so basically most of the bundles I completed at the very end.

Completed it all in fall year 6, spending that last year exclusively on a certain beach forage I hate with a passion now ;).

I am obsessed with this mod, so I am starting new playthrough with updated version of your mod, gonna change my farm and modlist, so hopefully it will be completely new experience. Thank you, I had a blast!!!

Glad you enjoyed it! I actually just completed my first full playthrough in Spring Y5. It was a heck of a run, that's for sure.

Honestly, I feel like it's out of balance. It's too hard to get some things, so by the time you complete the community center, you're basically done with the game. Or, that's how it felt for me anyway. But it was a really unique challenge outside of "rush the CC then rush perfection".

I'm going to remove a bunch of my "power up" mods and give it another go, I think, while also pulling in a handful of additional content mods. I want to vet Sunberry Village, Alchemistry, East Scarp + Sword & Sorcery, Dwarven Expansion, and a handful of other mods, potentially shooting for another version of this mod/challenge that aims to incorporate those, too.

I am already on year 3 in my 2nd playthrough. I removed some mods and I removed walk to the desert mod, but I added Sunberry Village not realizing it is a bit OP but fits really well and kinda feel it would be a must for me from now on.

If you do make another version or challenge I would play it for sure. Thank you again for this one!

First I want to say I really enjoy the challenge of the bundles, the other mods that offer a "challenge" aren't all that difficult, this one is really hard lol.
So i want to thank you for providing that experience.

But I do want to add, I did enjoy the experience of trying to complete these bundles I did not like some of the mods required to complete the experience. My brain just had a difficult time trying to streamline the process of all the mods, heart events, NPCs... If there were a way to make WildFlour's mod less overwhelming, i would completely dive into this mod every save. But that one overwhelms me, and it just steals the fun out of the game for me. I love what you did with this mod though, and I wish I had the brain power to actively enjoy it. lol.

Glad you're enjoying the extra challenge!

I don't have any plans to make a version of this mod that doesn't use certain mods for items. In fact, if I were going to do an additional mod similar to this one, I'd probably go "wider, not deeper" in that I'd use items from even more mods, but not require the iridium quality on them. I've got a half dozen or so small-medium content mods that I've used and enjoyed, and considered adding them into the mix, to really pile on the variety.

You're welcome to modify this mod's content files to remove the wildflour items and play through that, though!

I would hate to break something, but.. i could see if i can recognize some of the items. I like the extra forage i just didnt like the additional machines, i already only use a few of the vanilla ones lol.

But thanks for the suggestion, i will look through the content files to see if i am able to remove anything without breaking anything in the process.

I'm not sure, I've never seen that error before. You could include a link to your SMAPI log and I could try to take a look.

Absent that, I'd recommend you make sure to follow the steps in the Installation section of the mod's description. This includes making sure you don't have multiple mods that modify the community center bundles installed at the same time, and making sure that the files are all downloaded and installed in the correct place.

Thank you friend.  I really appreciate your reply.
I posted a message on Item Bags and the author tells me that 3 does not represent iridium quality in the Item Bags mod. 4 = iridium quality.  Tested it by changing some of the code in the bundle content file in this mod and sure enough, the iridium star came up on those items.  He did have a quick work around by editing the Custom Bundles config file but this mod does not use that mod.  It uses the Challenging Bundles mod.
Hope this helps you out in some way.

Hmm, that appears to be correct... https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Items

Sounds like this mod actually shouldn't be working at all, hah. I'll test out a fix and make sure it works, but it looks like all my 3 qualities should be 4. May fix this compatibility issue, and maybe other potential ones in the future.

Oh hi!, yes.  I have updated my content file to show 4 instead of 3 and the iridium quality is now shown on all the items in the bag that require this quality.  It's a wonderful sight actually.

Thank you for this challenge.  It really elevates the game.

Hiya! Loving the mod, so far! Kinda stumped on one item so far, though. I got the most updated version of the challenge with the updated sticky bundle and would like a hint on how to get the iridium molasses. Since cornucopia uses the vanilla mill for this recipe and the vanilla mill only outputs no quality items, how would you suggest getting the iridium molasses without using a separate "raise item quality" mod?

I've always had the mill output items with quality. I'm not sure what mod and/or config settings may have changed that. I don't have any mill-specific mods, so maybe it's a config settings somewhere.

In either case, look at the spoiler block in the Description tab for ideas on how to increase the quality of certain artisan goods.

Thought you might like to know, I finished my first run of the community center and definitely had a blast! Huzzah! As far as I know, you're the first to complete it!

Any feedback on the rewards? I was hoping to make them more meaningful and impactful, but w/o having done a run before and knowing how long each bundle would take and in what order one might complete them, I was largely guessing.

Before I answer that question, I just wanna let you know, I'm looking though you're revised bundles and Magic Brush still needs iridium quality, which considering it's ingredients are Moss and fiber, I'm unsure how that would be accomplished without the generic quality kegs, unless Walk of Life or others have a way of making fiber have quality 😂 Which, again, I can still use, but wanted to let you know in case that was something you wanted to change. (Also magic rock candy is iridium as well, which again, I can't think of any way since I don't believe there is a cooking recipe for it 🤔)

As for rewards, I thought most were pretty good, i did have early ginger island so there were some that I realize would feel more meaningful if I hadn't had it, which is why I am doing this run without it. So the cinder shards and various qi room rewards were an excellent idea and I can't wait to really earn it this time haha. I especially like the idea of getting some deluxe fertilizer early since with Fiber seeds, you can chain it from season to season without it decaying haha. This helping get your iridium crops more reliably!

Do you have any advice for how to get quality on roasted sunflower seeds or Early Riser ground coffee? I have level 20 in Walk of Life farming so I should be getting some quality out of my inputs, but I don't know how to get quality sunflower seeds for input, or quality Solar Essence. I could be forgetting some method but I've been stumped for a few days haha

There are a couple of mods that allow you to increase the quality of arbitrary items, or of artisan goods specifically. They should be listed in the spoiler section of the description listing mods to increase the quality of various types of items.

I should probably double check that and make sure it's current

Ok, thank you! I was trying to avoid any sort of generic "increase the quality of arbitrary items" mod cuz it seemed kinda against the spirit to me when the mods I had already had so many methods, but if it's literally the only way, I'll have to change my mind on that haha. I definitely used all the other numbered options, I guess I had hoped it'd be enough lol.

Ya, that's definitely a reasonable line of thinking. I feel similar, but thought having some items required a quality and others not seemed to favor particular ways to increase item quality, and I was hoping to avoid that. I also prefer things be consistent - like "all these are gold" or "all these are iridium" to make it mentally easier to keep track of. Trying to think about "these 3 are gold and these other 2 are normal but these 7 are iridium" seemed ... Too complex for me, given how difficult this mod already is. I'd rather have lots of options for players, and multiple ways to accomplish the goal. But it's tricky. I either favor this set of mods with inconsistent quality requirements, or favor this other set of mods with more consistent requirements.

Maybe what this really means is I should re-do the mod to only include items that can have the quality I'm looking for in each bundle, so that either set of mods works. Hmm...

I'm trying to think of other mods, too, that may try to edit bundles. Obviously mine are applying, but something else is then later overwriting them. Something like SVE could be responsible. I wanna say there was another mod, too, I had to make sure wasn't doing anything funky to bundles...

I totally understand the consistency thing too; and by no means is my comment a criticism jsyk! Still having fun regardless haha. Is there perhaps a way to have the option between say, a simple and complex set of bundles? Like, one that has more streamlined quality requirements but requires a larger set of mods to accomplish, and one that has more variance in quality requirements but uses fewer mods? That would also provide a different play style choice as well; do I play in a minimalist fashion that needs to tackle this with fewer available options but needs slightly less strict requirements, or play through it on a manner that lets me throw 50 different mods in but also means I have a higher ceiling to reach for? Just my two cents, I don't know the first thing if mod making so idk if this would work or make sense haha

In general that's the right idea, ya! But for bundles specifically, at least how I know to change them, unfortunately no. It's basically just be a 2nd mod. Which is also an option - but no easy way to flip something in the config for example

Another random thought/question, I didn't use a SVE Farm map, I used a custom map, and as such I didn't start with a money tree on my farm. As far as I could tell, I needed either the swamp for the added dark altars, or access to Lance, therefore the island, for access to the Highlands. Am I missing another source? Cuz even though I'm still working on this first playthrough, I'm planning a possible second run with this mod and wanted to check, cuz I used Early ginger island this time, but wanna see if that's necessary or not. I can always use one of the SVE maps to eliminate that mod haha.

Update: I rebuilt the whole thing

Okay, not entirely, but I audited all the items' quality, and now it should not require one of those generic "increase the quality of anything" mods to actually complete the CC. If you (or anyone) finds this not to be the case, that means I've made a mistake and need to fix it. It is now not just supported but desired that there are multiple different sets of mods to be able to complete the CC

I did this by removing any items that I could find that didn't have an alternative way to get the required quality for (outside of those generic "increase the quality of anything" mods). While I was doing this, I incorporated a handful of changes I'd been queueing up too, to hopefully make it easier to understand and remember what was needed (more consistent quality, more consistent quantity, intentional ordering to items, etc) and generally improve the balance of difficulty and reward

Unfortunately this also means if you have a playthrough in progress, it'll bork it all up. It won't break anything, but the items you have completed will be incorrect. This may make for a disjointed playthrough, so I'd only recommend updating if (1) you don't mind the weird hiccup, or (2) you haven't made much/any progress or have finished the CC already.

Ooooh nice, I can't wait to try it! It will probably have to be on a future playthrough, I'm relatively close to finishing my community center ( just need a couple more items for greenhouse access, foraging is roughly half done, and bulletin board is coming along haha) but I'll regularly check out our on my next one 😁😁

Also as a side note, I forgot to take your advice on lowering profit margins and I definitely see why you suggest it haha. Will do next time for sure 😂
