Hi! Thanks so much for the quick update, everything seems to be working perfectly and I love the copy/paste buttons and preview display of each chest. It also works perfectly with cuter chest buckles and I have the chests of my dreams now!! You're amazing!
Hi! I'm having the same issue as the other poster. In the mod config it shows the color picker but I can't click on any of it and also it does not give me the option to actually change the color of the chests.
I don’t have any option to change colors on chests either. I used to with Better Chests but I don’t now with this. The option just isn’t there and the config only has the palette
Hello! I just downloaded the mod for the first time. I love this idea, thank you so much for posting!
I did notice a few issues that break the mod unfortunately. I'd like to preface this by saying I do have tons of other mods downloaded, including one that changes the appearance of the chest (a popular one called "cute chest buckles"). I did figure out that I needed to be in the starting menu rather than in game to use the color picker. I think it would be helpful to add that to the description as it took me a few minutes to figure out why it wasn't working in game (if that is the intention and not a bug).
When I did go to choose a new color, I noticed that dragging one slider causes all 3 sliders to move at once. If I dragged the slider for shade or saturation back and forth enough times, the other sliders would eventually move so much that it was a completely different hue, or even just black. I had to really play with them to get it to land on the color I wanted.
Additionally, when you click "save" or "save & close" in the GMCM, the color switches back to the vanilla default color. BUT if you click "cancel", it saves your changes and closes the menu. It also saves your color changes if you switch tabs at the top to edit another color.
Once I figured all that out, it appeared to work as intended, and the chest in my game changed colors, even keeping "cute chest buckle" design but just changing colors.
I decided to investigate further and found another issue. When I closed the game, all my changes reset to the defaults anyway, making the mod pretty impractical to use unless I go into the configuration menu and change the color every single time.
I went so far as to remove all mods from my game except yours and GMCM and the issue persisted. Once I manage to change the color and save it, that color IS applied in game, however, the colors are reset to default every time I exit out of the game anyway.
So, yeah. I'm not sure if I'm the only one having this issue, but I thought I would report it in case it is an actual bug. Here is the requested log (I feel very smart for managing to upload this!)
Hi! I downloaded this mod but I'm a bit confused. It got rid of the palette when you open a chest but you say to go to GMCM to configure but there's nothing there but what you have in the screenshot. Does this mean that it's supposed to apply to all chests? How do you color individual chests? Thanks!
