there is a compatibilty issue with the bear from SVE, the menue gets a little weird because of the downside arrow overlapping with the goose and once one managed to scroll down every animal is alone (side by side) instead of grouped... also the bear is nowhere to be seen
might be because of too many animals though (don't have the golden goose yet), before bear it was working fine with just goose and camel added (and all the normal animals)
there was absolutly no error in smapi according to profiler though so idk... seems to be just a visual problem
Yeah, modded animals tend to break my mod because it was made for vanilla animals only. Tried implementing proper support for modded animals but it's not as easy as I thought. Will look into it as soon as I have more free time.
Hi! I have someone on my animal mod who seems to be having issues with seeing my animal in Marnie's shop. I asked them what animal mods they have and I thought this one may or may not have something to do with it so I thought I'd ask. Does this mod work for modded animals who have "skins" or do they need to be added manually? Not requesting compatibility I just am trying to get to the bottom of it so I can tell them what the issue is
EDIT: sorry for asking this without reading first, I can see that is indeed the case
This is cool, and I'd love to have it an option for custom animals too! Maybe when you click an animal it just opens up a new window where you can pick one? So that doesn't clutter the base animal window too much?
I would need a list of the custom animal mods you are using. I don't think there's a way to include all custom animals just like that, so I have to add compatibility for each mod.
im currently using these 2 mods that add a lot so it may be a lot of work but itd be cool to see the custom animals in there if not thats fine still think this mod is really nice so thank you https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/20044 https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/20043
Will this work with additional mods (formerly BFAV mods) such as https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/23453 https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6791 https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/20657 https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/24055
Alright, in theory it should work but I found out that most of the mods only provide a single Shop Icon. For example, the MiniPig Mod contains a Shop Icon only for the default Mini Pig. With that I can make the shop display all types of Mini Pigs but they all have the same icon. I'll ask the other mod authors if they want to create and include shop icons for all variants. If not, I'll have to go the way with one icon for all variants.
Just have to figure out how to handle the masses of custom animals. They don't really fit in Marnie's small shopping window. I'll see if I can make it scrollable or provide a popup that displays the variants of each animal. That might take some time to figure out. No promises I'll get it to work.
Thank you for updating this to 1.6. One question though, is it compatible with mods like Mizu's Turkey or other custom animals that are normally added to Marnie's menu, or will it make them not show up in the menu?
Edit: Never mind about the question I tested it and the menu went all weird showing like doubles of all the chickens and stuff. So ya I would say no not very compatible lol. Sorry if I wasted any of your time, have a good one.

As stated in previous comments, I can't promise that it will work properly in the end.

Give me a list of the custom animal mods you are using and I'll take a look at it.
