I have a couple other mods in the works rn (keep an eye out for a new seasonal portrait mod for a certain bachelorette) but out of curiosity would people be interesting in a dialogue expansion mod as well that added more friendly/coworkerly dialogue between them?
That would really help the small happy community feeling this game has for me. If you were to make that mod, that'd be grand. I feel like stardew valley is too small of a town to where you don't have a good relationship with your collages. Note that I agree a boss x worker relationship is not a good, or at least healthy relationship. No pressure to make it, I don't hang with harvey much in my current save. Thank you!
Thank you so much, Harvey's creeping on Maru is SO gross! It's one of those places where it really shows that a cis white guy made this entire game. All the media centered on how he did this all by himself, and sure it's a lot of work so impressive, but there's a lot of stuff that is super icky to deal with from any other perspective. I'm actually more bothered by the Maru stuff than that Harvey's creepy with the player.
Yeah fair enough. I'll be honest and say the player stuff isn't really bothering to me as you and Harvey become friends before any appointment and your appointment is literally just using a stethoscope, so very impersonal and noninvasive. I personally found mods like Less Creepy Harvey stretching in regards to non-Maru stuff but I'm also biased as a pre med student who is likely to meet my future partner while training together in med school, practicing those sorts of non-invasive exams on each other would be good practice if needed. though I do see how that is my experience and not that of everyone, and everyone will see it differently.
You and me, we see eye to eye. God this dialogue is so skeevy. Like it's realistic that this sort of thing would be happening, but also bleeeh. Super glad to see a mod fixing this!!!!

Yes! and not to steal your thunder but I'm actually in the process of making a big all in one dialogue edit mod that actually is changing lines like that Haley one too! (all toggleable ofc so you can keep your version) Glad you like the mod :)
oml, i know this wasn't your intention, but thank you for listing these mods, they're great. iirc, if both mods edit the same vanilla dialogue or add new ones that both use the same key/"name" for their entry, whichever is loaded last will be the only one you see. if the additional dialogues have different names, both will exist, but whether or not you'll see either depends on the conditions for each dialogue (eg on a friday in winter, winter dialogue might not show up bc friday-specific winter dialogue was picked instead)
I play with most of these mods by default lol, I usually play with like 400+, I haven't tested but it's unlikely that this mod will have any interferences with any of those mods unless they overwrite the same lines.
Less Creepy Harvey will have conflicts it overrides the sunscreen line and potentially more, Personally I don't know everything about that mod as I feel like it removes too much of him so it's not something I personally play with and the creation of this mod was to fix specifically what me and my friends had issues with.
I would recommend that if you want to play with this mod, either disable less creepy Harvey, Go into the mod file for it and remove the sunscreen line in that mod (it should have a little // area marking it), or simply try it and let me know what happens, it's just a dialogue mod so it shouldn't cause any crashes or anything, just will probably show whichever mod is loaded later.
Furthermore, I'm unsure about the other dialogue mods, I don't believe the canon friendly dialogue expansion is a replacer but I may be mistaken, I also expect Immersive Festival Responses to have conflicts with the Luau lines but again, this will not be a major issue as the game should just go with the last loaded dialogue option and carry forward.
All that said, really just go for it, if dialogue looks weird or anything it's likely just because you already have a couple mods conflicting the same lines but I've never had that happen, though if that does happen, let me know. If you would like, I can try adding an option for configs in the future for my mod

hi! I'm the coder for CFDE, and i just wanted to let you know that other dialogue mods can easily be made compatible with canon friendly :) All a user needs to do is turn the relevant NPC to "random" in CFDE's config *if* canon friendly overrides the other mod's dialogue by sharing the same key and loading later than that mod. So in general blossom, you don't need to worry about conflict between it and other mods, you can just playtest and see if CFDE is covering up unique dialogue you wanted to see, and then use "random" for that NPC as needed!
Hope you can add this to all pairings. Like remove the implications of them having crushes with their npc pair (eg. SebxAbby, SamxPenny, etc.) Something like that.

I couple probably do that really easily by reusing my code, though I'm not sure how much of a demand there is for those, I'll add it to my list for you :) RN I kind of have a loaded to-do list as I'm drawing people (late) Christmas gifts and drawing a portrait mod that still needs ~9 outfits but I will definitely add that to my list, if I ever get a spare few minutes I'll wip something up.
Idk if there's ship dialogue in the canon dialogue expansion mod but I might look to make a patch of that too if there is and I get permission from the creator (and figure out how to code it ofc)

Honestly the pairing never bothered me, but I really adore your line changes over the originals. They're more natural and mature, compared to poor Harvey sounding too young for his portrait if you get what I mean. Sometimes, when you're working on a project solo, some parts just end up feeling off without some sort of feedback from others and that's what I think happened when it came to some of ConcernedApe's dialogue choices. Thank you for your mod <3
