Every time I try to run this mod as well as the hats mod, it tells me it is not a SMAPI mod, is this a bug or did I do something wrong here? I assumed with no instructions it just goes right into the mod folder '^'
firstly im not sure if itll still work due to 1.6 but what you need to do is: Extract the file, inside your downloads, put it in a new folder, there will probably be folders called long, short, maifest.json ect, then name it something like hair, so you know what it is, and put that in your mod folder, thats what worked for me at least?
For anyone interested, I have combined both the hairstyles packs from Coii in one png file so you only have to add it to your mod folder. There are two versions available, both versions contain the hairstyles from the Coii's girls sets pack but one with only the long hairstyles, and the other has the short hairstyles from this pack added. So if you want all Coii's hairstyles you can have that too.
In the above mentioned link you can find the .png files, pick the one you want and place it in the assets folder. Then make sure to rename the file to either "long" or "short" depending what you have in the config file. Note that some mods like Eemie's Cute Long Hairstyles will overlap with this one, so remove it or edit the file to match the coiihairstylescombined. Not sure if it conflicts with any mods that require Get Glam or Spacecore, though.
Of course, i'm just sharing because I was looking to make this work (these hairstyles are the best) and I'm not intending to take any credit. Will remove if asked as well.
(noticed later that there is already a merged file available in this thread. Gonna leave it up either way. The other file does include the default female hairs as well, mine doesn't so you have even more choice.)
Hm, strange. I think it's on your end because you are the first one having trouble with it as far as I know. I haven't changed the file at all. I was gonna add the other google drive link somewhere in this thread but it appears that one has been deleted. If you DM me I am willing to send it to you directly if you want to, though.
In case anyone else has issues downloading like I did, and seemingly the other person. Try opening the link in Chrome, I couldn't download it in any way through Firefox. And in Chrome click on the "download all" button at the top right. For some reason trying all three download methods to get the png individually didn't work, but clicking on download all does as the system zips the file first and then zends them to you. So the server must grab the file and zip it to send you rather than a direct link to the image itself to sent it to you, obviously an issue with Google Drive but and odd one at that.
Hi, I know this is a super late reply, but I wanted to point out that the hairstyles from the Coii Girl's Set are shifted down one pixel - which some people might actually like better if they like the look of long bangs falling to their eyelashes haha. It was a super easy fix for me just shifting it back up one pixel. I only downloaded the combined long and short hair file, so I'm not sure if the same is true for the long hair only file.

i downloaded the zip file and put the manifest and mod itself unzipped into my mod folder, but the hairs arent showing up when i use the mirror? I was wondering if you knew what could be the problem.
It doesn't want to work with me like all the other mods. It keeps saying that this is not a Smapi mod. I have smapi and every other mod seems to work under smapi except for basically all of Coii's mods
How to change short to long: - unzip the downloaded file - double-click on config.json and choose the editor to open it - now change the word short with long - save - move the folder to your mods folder
