So does this have to be in the same folder as seasonal cute outfits or can I just disable the seasonal cute aesthetic leah and just use the pink hair leah
Hi, thanks for this! A small tip... I've modified the directory structure of your mod locally to match that of Seasonal Cute Outfits. This makes it so that mod managers can install and deploy it automatically (after selecting a conflict solution) without all the manual steps that are currently in your installation instructions. I would recommend changing the mod file contents in this way, to make it easier for folks to install. "(CP) Seasonal Cute Outfits\assets\Characters\Leah" and "(CP) Seasonal Cute Outfits\assets\Portraits\Leah"
Thank you so much for this!! Leah looks great with pink hair and I completely agree about red heads being over represented in Stardew Valley (especially since I want -my- next character to be a red head).
Do you have permission from IronZelly and Jaksha to use their assets? You'll also need to change your permissions information, as you can't list this as free to edit when you're using other people's assets who aren't also free to use.
as for Jaksha, it might be hard to contact them even if you tried, as

Obviously, it would be nice if people would credit their sources, i agree with that. but is it really necessary to be this overzealous, and report any mod with seasonal cute outfits as soon as they get released, and essentially discouraging beginner modders and gatekeeping the SDV modding community? in the end you are just ruining the quality of mod art in general with that attitude on the entirety of the spectrum. nobody starts out with an already developed style, we all just copy and modify other's art at the beginning. that's literally what modding means...
Longevity is an older mod that used to contain partial seasonal outfits, by the way, and you can find Jaksha via Nexus's user search in the search bar since they have a couple of published mods. If you don't have permission from them though, you'll need to remove any of their assets until you do, and if you can't get a reply, then you can't use the assets and will need to make your own replacement.
Ignore LurchingElf, by the way. There's always a handful of people who don't care about authors' rights, but the community works on ask permission first, not ask forgiveness afterwards.
if Jaska has individually published mods, then please link in their profile, because the only user i found by that name on Nexus had no description or any mods of their own, so that's probably not the right one. if you have other means of contacting them, like email address, or discord ID, then please share that one too, so that its possible to reach them. cos its a little hard to ask for permission if the actual author, is only mentioned in a footnote, without even a link, so even identifying them is difficult.
