I have had multiple people ask about compatibility with mods that add extra greenhouses. I would like input from people who would like to use that feature, about how they would like it to be implemented. Mainly what the requirements would be and how the upgrade system would factor into having additional greenhouses.
Hello, about the extra greenhouses I think that greenhouses instead of missions could be upgraded at robin shop. and the player could be visited by robin after completing greenhouse bundle or buying it at jojas so that robin "takes a look" and said that she is fascinated with the building and would love to work on it or smthg like that so from that point she could build new basic greenhouses and also upgrade any greenhouse
I'll have a look around and see if other mods do that exact thing. If they do I might just recommend people use that version, but if not I will definitely look into doing that. It may be a separate mod depending on how cleanly that could be changed over without breaking existing saves.
I also have SVE and it seems that i can't upgrade the greenhouse? I have uploaded a yt video kinda showing what happens. Please help id love to be able to use this mod
For future reference, this is something to make a bug report about rather than posting in as a comment, but I believe this may be because SVE has a special greenhouse, and you can disable the SVE greenhouse in the SVE settings. If this doesn't work, please make a bug report in the bugs section so I can continue helping you.
Could you go to this page SMAPI log parser - SMAPI.io and follow the directions to upload your log so I can see if I can figure out what is going wrong?
The 4th upgrade is really not worth it in terms of cost performance. I used up all the materials except for 36 iridium sprinklers, and all I got was the ability to knock down those 36 iridium sprinklers for planting. In other words, I spent 100 deluxe retaining soil, 25 radioactive bars and 20 battery packs just to buy 36 available slots.
It would be better if the upgrade effect was changed to automatic harvesting or if the functions of the Junimo Hut were increased. The automatic watering function is pretty much useless when you already have so many iridium sprinklers.
I understand that it seems and mostly is useless, but that is what I settled on because a lot of people wanted to have auto watering as an upgrade. If you would like to change the cost of the upgrade for yourself, you can open the mods folder, open [CP] Greenhouse Upgrades, and then edit it in 'SpecialOrders.json'. There you can change what is required for each of the upgrades if you would like.
hello, recently I upgraded my greenhouse to level 4 with the 36 sprinklers, the Qi bars etc, the next day the greenhouse was still the same, could it be a bug? or was nothing really happening? Thanks for the reply!
The size of the greenhouse does not change with that upgrade. It simply adds a watering system to the greenhouse so the player doesn't need to use sprinklers.
Could you explain further what happened? Do you have the upgraded greenhouse, and your friend does not? Or are you saying that you have just upgraded the greenhouse and they do not see it upgraded currently?
As long as all players have the mod, it should work fine. I have not tested it in multiplayer, so if you experience any issues, please let me know so that I can remedy them.
It could cause some loss of items if you have stuff placed on the bottom or right sides of the greenhouse, but it should be fine. You can test by loading the mod to see, and if something is removed just close the game without saving and then remove the mod.
Hello. So i have a problem with the mod. After i deleted it, the quest to upgrade the greenhouse is still in the journal. i was thinking deleting it with the smapi console but idk the quest id. any way to fix this bug?
It is a special order, but in the next update I can add it so the player can remove the quest, otherwise it should disappear after the timer runs out. the quest name depends on what tier of greenhouse you are on. You can find the quest name in "SpecialOrders.json" in the content patcher folder of the mod.
I added a MOD to build a new greenhouse in Robin. The newly built greenhouse has the same size as the original greenhouse after reaching full capacity. But it lost the function of automatic watering. How to restore it. What I'm thinking is not to fully level up yet. Making enough greenhouses first and synchronously upgrading them to full levels may solve this problem.
What is the name of the mod that you have added? The issue you are experiencing is most likely because of how I add the watering mechanic using a specific map name. I can look into possibly adding compatibility if you would like.
I will probably just add a config option to my mod at some point to be able to build more greenhouses rather than try to fix it so that other mods work with it because there are a lot of mods that add that functionality in multiple different ways.
