About this mod

Speed up the game with the press of a button (or two).

This mod increases the rate at which time is updated in the game, meaning the in-game clock will move faster, as well as all world state changes. NPCs will get to their destination faster, in-game animations will move faster, even your player will move faster. (Audio, however, will not be affected.) Basically, imagine pressing the "fast forward" button on the whole game. Tired of waiting for Pam to get the bus station? Press fast forward and watch her speedwalk to the station in a matter of seconds. Has the coming of the Jellies on Summer 28 lost its charm on the tenth viewing? Fast forward and get it over with!

This mod was intended to be an unofficial "unofficial update" to the original Fast Forward mod by crazywig. The original mod is not open source, but I desperately needed an updated version for SDV 1.6, and since the mechanic is basically explained in the mod description, I just made a new version myself. In a nod to the original, I've kept the HUD messages and default config settings the same.

How to use:
Press the TILDE (~) button to make the game run seven times as fast. Press the SEMICOLON (;) button to make the game run twice as fast. Press either button again to return to normal time flow. You can change both the key-bindings for the buttons and each button's multiplier via the config settings (see below). Note that both speed options have a minimum value of 2, since making the game run "one time as fast" isn't fast forwarding at all.

Config settings (compatible with GMCM):
Button 1: The button that will toggle the first speed multiplier. Default: TILDE (~)
Speed 1: The number by which the game's time flow will be multiplied upon pressing the first button. Default: 7 / Minimum: 2
Button 2: The button that will toggle the second speed multiplier. Default: SEMICOLON (;)
Speed 2: The number by which the game's time flow will be multiplied upon pressing the second button. Default: 2 / Minimum: 2

As noted in the original mod's description, this mod does not interfere with the actual TIME of the game, simply the human perspective of how fast things are running -- Therefore, it is not a cheat of any kind. You will run the same distance in "game time" whether fast forward is toggled or not.

Oh, also, I haven't tested it, but I assume that this mod isn't multiplayer-compatible -- I wouldn't try it, at least. But this mod is mostly for play-testing anyways.
