This small mod fixes the problem by making certain animals that have different regular and 'deluxe' produce makes both at the same time, not just either-or. The additional produce will start dropping once the animal have at least 1 heart.
- Ducks: Always drop a duck egg every 2 days, but will drop a duck feather on top every other egg harvest (ie. every 4 days)
- Rabbits: Always drop wool every 4 days, but have a small (1/3, with daily luck added on top) chance to also drop a rabbit's foot on top. Requires at least 3 hearts.
- Mizu's Turkeys: Always drop a turkey egg every 3 days, but will drop a turkey feather every other egg harvest (ie. every 6 days)
- Visit Mount Vapius' Speckled Fowls and Geese (and their rare variants): Always drop egg every day, but will drop feather/goose down every other egg harvest.
- birdb's Goose
- Doves and Pigeons
- Milkable Sheep: If installed, Sheep will now drop wool every 3 or 2 days (like vanilla), but will also always have Sheep's Milk harvest on top.
- Alternatively, if Visit Mount Vapius is installed, the Sheep can be configured to make VMV's Ewe Milk item on top of its wool. The Ewe still makes milk everyday so it's not obsolete. If you have both Milkable Sheep and VMV installed, you can use the config option to choose which mod's milk items you want.
Requires Content Patcher and the latest version of Extra Animal Config.
FAQ:
Q: Wait, what do you mean by Ducks no longer laying eggs when they make feathers?
A: They will still lay eggs, it's just that if their friendship is high enough to drop feathers they'll make eggs less often, since the feather replaces their once-every-2-day produce. This mod makes sure they will always lay eggs every 2 days.
Q: This mod doesn't do anything when I installed it?
A: Unfortunately due to game limitations, namely that animal produce are decided before the game saves, you need to go to sleep for the changes to apply.
