I'm stumped. I got it to work normally, got it to work with Content Patcher for both genders, then got it to only cause a change when in "swimming" attire (ie bathhouse). When I added head fins (to make the mermaid more fish-like) it works until you hit the water, at which point they disappear. I can not figure out why they are disappearing. if anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated.
How did you make it so the player changes into a mermaid when the go to the bathhouse? I figured it is the swimsuit but I cant find how to change the swimsuit sprite. Because my intention is to make the bottom the tail and the top a bikini top.
As of 1.4 you need to edit the Pants file. There are 18 spots on the sprite sheet that correspond to the swimsuit, putting the fins there overrides the swimsuits. I am still stumped on how to keep the headfins while swimming, though.
I don't suppose that you could post that fix or at least give a detailed instruction on how to fix it because I really want to be mermaid but I can't code or mod anything for shit.
OMG!! This is SO awesome!! Thank you for having this idea and fleshing it out! I really love mermaids, I always love making mermaid characters in games -- especially in the sims 3. I fourth the idea of making them for men as well, also making it compatible with a nude mod, or adding a shell type top that typical mermaids wear with their tails.
So i have download it and then i'm really excited since i can finally have a mermaid heroine but then when i finished creating the heroine and after skipping the intro instead of having a mermaid tail my heroine got her feet. Is the mod supposed to only for the heroine to have mermaid tail in character creation or did i do something wrong when i replaced my original file?

I found the solution and it turns out that i just need to open the original exe not the modding exe
