If you notice any problems (i.e. updates shown not the same as what SMAPI says in the console) please post your SMAPI log ( https://log.smapi.io ) in a bug report and I'll take a look :)
Note to everyone. If you're wondering about whether a mod needs updating or if there is an unofficial update. Go to the SMAPI compatibility page. Just about every mod made for this game is listed there. It will show whether the mod is up to date, needs updating, or if there is an unofficial update. And it gives links to the download. I got the unofficial update for this mod there. And the unofficial works without issue on newest game version on windows PC.
Just as a heads up for people looking for answers, the unofficial update from Dphill10827 does not work in 1.6.9 at this time (or at least, it didn't in the beta release).
UPDATE: There's a new release on the Github for the unofficial update, and that one seems to be working on 1.6.10!
my server is blocking me from the site that you listed for the unofficial 1.6 update... any chance the update will come over here to Nexus Mods? please?
What's the point? This mod was useless to begin with since SMAPI command prompt ALREADY does the same job if you care to read what's written there. SMAPI startup, lists all the mods you installed with their versions, then lists all content packs, then lists game changing mods (save can break without them) and finally CHECKS for updates and provides the same information with same links to mods on Nexus so that you can copy paste the URL into your browser (you'll be saving only 1 click by using this mod instead of SMAPI console).
This mod is NOT a real updater where real mod updaters automatically download the updates without your intervention based on your previous settings so that automation eases your life, like Nexus Mod Manager doing right now so you (or anyone else) really really don't need this mod at all = why it has been abandoned last 4 years since author also saw his mod is redundant against SMAPI itself.
It was just kinda nice to have as a convenience thing to be able to just click a link. saved a few steps but yeah its not completely necessary but it was a nice to have.
Wow, you seem upset. You are entitled to your opinion and I respect that, but I think this mod is great and I truly miss having it. So clearly, my opinion is different and I am entitled to mine as well. I wish my server wouldn't block the alternate site. That said, I am using SMAPI in the short term and its not as easy, but it works. Hope you can calm down and have a great rest of your day.
Your reaction was completely uncalled for and rather rude. Someone asking about a mod they enjoy does not entitle you to your high and mighty attitude. You need to check yourself.
