Hoshi no Tsuyu no Tani (HTT)
⁂ Valley of the Dew of the Star ⁂
This is the first mod of HTT, made to change the exterior of Grandpa's Shed from SVE into a new Japan-based aesthetic. It includes the ruined shed and the completed shed, as well as seasonal and rain variations for both.
I really love Updated Seasonal Japanese Buildings and have used it since I started playing Stardew Valley with mods last year.
However, it's missing buildings from some mod expansions (like SVE), some of the buildings are not coherent as an aesthetic, and there are things I want to change in general, so I've used it as inspiration going forward. There are open permissions from the original creator Sonreirblah because they are no longer working on the initial mod at all, and Leroymilo was kind enough to give permission for me to use whatever they had also added on to the mod when they updated it for 1.6.
If you're curious, my HTT mods are based off a real life place in Japan - a small fishing village named Miura. While living there for a month I took many photos of the town, and this Grandpa's Shed is based off one of the Kura, or Japanese storehouses, found in the town. The building is actually home to a really cool wine bar and cafe called Couronne.
I've had a lot of fun doing this initial test building just to see if I liked making mods. So far, I'm obsessed, so more are coming (yes - the rest of the farm buildings, other town buildings, outdoor textures, clothing, interiors, and whatever else I can make!).
