    I might just be dumb, but I downloaded the original mod and replaced the i18n files, and Jiu shows up in the game, but his lines are just saying there's no translation. What am I missing?

      When i tested it, it was fine. are you sure you downloaded all the required mods for the npc mod? if you keep encountering this issue you can also contact the original mod's developer, I know little about mod coding🥲

      I checked the file and you need to replace the “zh” name in the file with “default” to make it work.

      You need to install the original mod first, translation mod contains the i18n file only.
