Getting warning (yellow text) messages in your log for Cornucopia Grape bushes?

Go into the config options for [CP] Configurable Extra Harvest Chance - Cornucopia and uncheck the Grape Bushes option. My mod, currently, has no way of detecting options from mods like Cornucopia.

Also - the warning about "no record found for 301" is harmless. Cornucopia modifies the grape crop and makes it something else, which means my changes won't take effect. All other crops will function as expected, you just won't get extra from grapes.

Apologies for the inconvenience but at least it's something!

If you want me to add support for a particular crop or mod, please post the crop (and mod) or the mod itself that you want support for.

Instead of posting a "does this support x mod" question, post a request like "Please add support for Cornucopia, specifically x, y, and z crops". That way I know what mod and what crops you want support for.

Lastly, please read the mod description. It probably answers most of your questions and it contains information about the compatibilities available.

For anyone wanting a less confusing configuration setup for this mod, there is now the Configurable Extra Harvest Chance - Percentage upload under Optional Files. This version uses terms like "10% Increased" instead of "A hint".

IMPORTANT - You only need one of the set of files, not both. If you want more interesting terms, use the main file. If you want percentage based terms, use the optional file.

Additionally, because I felt like it, I added 2 new config options for those who want to go absolute insane (bonkers) with their crop yields. Now introducing Partial Insanity (250% increase) and Full Insanity (500% increase).

Enjoy and thank you for the suggestions. I thought fun phrases, like we use in baking, would be fun here. But I'm here to ensure everyone is enjoying the game, not just myself.

Glad you're enjoying it! I've got others you might enjoy if you like this one :)

I've done compatibilities for every major expansion mod. I don't remember RSV having any new crops, but I can take a look later.

Ok then! That's great!!! I know there are some forageables, and some bushes, but the bushes might not count! If they don't, you don't have to worry about it!!!

Are your other mods all on your page? If so, I'll take a look at them! :)

Yep! You can see My Mods Here.

None of my mods affect bushes/forgeables as those are very limited in what you can do with them through a Content Patcher (CP) mod (like mine) vs if it were a C# mod (which I'm not going to make).

the wildflour atelier crops don't work anymore, because that mod was updated to a new version ... any chance you'll make your mod compatible with the new version? that would be really awesome.

I can look into it. I'm not into SDV anymore, but I still have all my files and scripts, so I'll see what I can do. The annoying part is that there's no way to plan or update this easily (other than telling people how to make the changes via Notepad++ or some other text editor). There's a great post Here that explains how to use a text editor to make the modifications.

I'll definitely look into it though. I'll probably also just have another compatibility file for those who don't update that mod vs those that do. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

I just looked and the original mod I made the compat for isn't even available anymore! D'oh. I'm sure it still works, so I'll make a new mod compat for it instead. Oi vey lol.

New compat out that should cover the update. Looks like they only updated WildFood, they didn't bring FaerieGarden. They have some other weirdness with seeds going on, but my mod just targets things that are easy to figure out (and that doesn't require lots of digging around to find :))

If you find any compats/crops within WAG that you want addressed, let me know.

The compat is Configurable Extra Harvest Chance - ateliergoods

Thank you for bringing up the issue so I could address it! I may not be into  the game currently, but I do check back here periodically. I'm not a "huge" mod creator like some other people, but I try to post/update things that other people find enjoyable.

There's a menu in game, if you're using Generic Mod Config Menu. There's also the config.json file that is created when you first start the game that you can edit and change values for. If you change the config.json file, you'll have to restart the game as those files are only read on game launch. If you change it within GMCM, then it'll update immediately and you won't have to leave game.

    Buddy, pal, friendo...

You are causing me to have an internal war. A war between my desire for EPIC QUANTITITES OF LOOT CROPS, and my desire for a somewhat balanced game.

I use ferngill simple economy and longevity so I can 'rebalance' things with that pretty easily... and I suppose having more of each crop item will encourage me to get creative with cooking and trying to process things into as many different types of product as possible to reduce the impact of the oversupply/longevity DR, which could add a nice gameplay incentive...

    *groans and hits download*

Ok, you've convinced me. I'll download it. Probably gonna endorse it too.

    *sigh*

Lol. This is definitely the best comment I've gotten yet. Not saying that the ones where people are just simply thanking me for mods isn't good, but your comment is really great!

I also want to make it clear that the intention of these mods is actually to help the crops that are not good for "game health", like the ones that don't regrow or have any form of extra harvest (look at you Carrots during Spring Year 1 and I only got 8 Carrot seeds but they're so damn good early game).

If you like this mod, have you checked out my other one Farming Level Affects Harvest? Want to talk about "unbalancing the game" - if you install and use both of these with any/all of the crops at even "A hint" (or 10% increased, not sure which one you downloaded), then we cookin'.

I also want to assure you that you can turn off each crop's extra harvest and farming level increase amount by setting its config value to blank (which will set it internally to 0). So if you only want Carrots (from my previous example) to have extra, you can do that. I also, for any compatibilities, purposely set everything to the lowest value non-blank value (10% increase) because I'm not looking to just throw game balance to the wind for those that already play with other mods that add a metric f@#$ ton of loot crops.

Hope you enjoy one or both of my mods. They're meant to enhance gameplay, not cause upset.

Based on your comment... I might actually add 5% increments just for this purpose (since I know that even 10% could add up to be a lot). But then I gotta come up with new words for the 5% increment parts too... Yay for Generative AI, amIright?

Anyway, hope you enjoy! Thanks for the comment.

P.S. One last thing I just thought about - Mods I've made, like this one, are also for those people who want to play "farm decorator simulator" and not have to sacrifice so much land just to farm and have things to cook with. Then again, there are shop mods out there that add every crop to Pierre/other shops so... you could always use one of those.

      Heya,

My comment was 100% meant as a joke (I'm the kidhedera that commented on your other mod too - I really like them! I think they are FUN which is what we're here for right?)

I really like a bit of a challenge so I do have stuff like extra taxes and stuff that makes seeds more expensive and crops cheaper all installed, but I found that I was frustrated cos it meant I had *less* of everything, and I was like 'ok I want to play with these machines I've unlocked, but i have like, one sad little carrot left, which machine do I get to try?'

Your mod means (theoretically, haven't actually played with it yet) that if I just wack an extra price decrease on each actual carrot using longevity or whatever, and then have a penalty for just shipping a million carrots as is instead of using them to make recipes and artisan goods, then I won't have an unbalanced income but will also get to put all my many many carrots in different machines, and try different recipes and still have some left over for gifts, and the shipping collection and the community center and so on and on.

So my comment was mostly a tongue in cheek kinda 'yeah, I can see how this is good for folk that just want to play farm decorator simulator, but it also has potential for people who want balance too' kinda thing.

      (Downloaded and endorsed!)

PS: The Atelier crops add on for this one and the farming level one both have a bit of extra code at the top of the content file that causes a harmless SMAPI warning. I just deleted it to make the warning go away cos I'm fussy like that, but just in case you get reports about the warning thats what it is.

It hit me, reading your comment again after I commented, that it was probably, mostly, in jest and that you really did find an actual use for it. And I didn't recognize your name because my mind has been so many places lately (trying to sell my house, trying to secure a job, trying to learn more about the programming languages I use, playing games, all the comments on my various mods, etc). Had I recognized it, I probably would have approached my response differently. Either way, I do like to ensure that I make my intentions for my mods known in case someone wasn't joking/jesting about balance or some such thing like that.

Appreciate your response to clarify your original comment! Love people who actually know how to communicate and aren't here to just be a nuisance (of which there can be many).

Thanks for the heads up on the Atelier Crop issue! For the compatibilities, I normally don't test them very thoroughly as that would require me to play with those mods for an extensive amount of time to learn the regular behavior and what issues I might need to account for. Just too much work and work life is needing to take a bit more priority as I've been far too focused wanting to make these things (because they're quick, easy, and seem satisfying).

I'm glad that it seems that my mod(s) have helped you bridge a gap with game balance and over lack of sustainable crop rotations. The base game is very straight forward, but does open up a few ways for modders to increase the yields. That's the whole reason I made these is for that exact purpose.

Definitely let me know if you run into other issues or if you have more feedback on ways I can improve these.

P.S. Found the part you're talking about with Atelier Crops and the extra bit in the content.json. The script I made to generate these files doesn't ignore writing out changes that don't actually change anything. Should be easy enough to remedy.

Just thought I'd pop in again and say that I updated this mod to have 5% increments in case 10% is too much in some cases. Hope this helps your self control :D
