Sorry to bother but I was wondering if anyone has a work around for dragons not producing eggs? I'm using an auto grabber to get animal drops and it works fine with every other animal, including the dragons gem drops, but not their eggs. Are there any known mods that could be causing a conflict? I cannot harvest the drops by hand either.
Hi, I was looking to get perfection in my save, but I noticed something with this mod. In addition to adding the three recipes mentioned, it also added one that looks like some form of beer or fizzy drink. It has not taught me the recipe, despite immediately teaching me the rest of them. Was this added as a mistake? Or is it a purposeful recipe that I can find (and if so, where do I find it)? For context I am playing without the dwarven expansion, and would prefer to keep it that way. If there is no in game solution, is there a command or cheat I could use?
My fully grown dragon is showing an egg above their head but when I click it nothing happens and my auto grabber doesn't have anything either. Is there a tool I'm supposed to use to harvest the eggs? Thanks
I suspect you have a mod conflict of some kind, but I'll see if I can reproduce this, it could be something with 1.6.9 having changed the pig harvest method.
Having said that, no, the dragons should dig up their products like a pig does, so the eggs should just appear on the ground. This isn't a feature I added, it's native to 1.6, so if that isn't working it would be an issue with the base game or a mod causing a general issue with the digging harvest mechanism.
Hi, I just wanted to say that I have the same issue. I'm playing on stardew version 1.6.15 and have three of your mods downloaded: Everia's Dragons for 1.6, Everia's Dragons Expanded, and Dwarven Expansion (along with a bunch of other mods but nothing that I thought would mess with the digging mechanism, just mostly Bog's mods and Alchemistry). If I leave all three mods in, the dragons have the produce in little speech bubbles above their heads. If I delete Dragons Expanded, then I can find and pick up their produce on the ground. I don't know if this helps but it seems to be something with this mod. Thanks for the mod!

It's "this mod" in the sense that i changed them from "laying" animals (like chickens) to "digging" animals (like pigs), but this mod isnt' causing the produce to get stuck directly.
Without being able to reproduce the issue I can't really speak to what is causing it, but folks have reported similar behavior with other digging animals as well, so it's not isolated to the dragons either, but so far I haven't determined if it's another mod or just a rare vanilla bug with digging animals added via Content Patcher.
For the most part you should see them somewhat consistantly (which color you get is a bigger question), so if you haven't seen any in several weeks something is wrong.
Do you have Dwarven Expansion? Buying eggs from Marlon is only added if you have Dwarven Expansion because that adds the Cavern with the incubator and disables buying the dragons at Marnie's.
I'll need a log then, I just confirmed I can see both in my game.
And when I show your download history Nexus claims you haven't downloaded this mod (Evaria's Dragons Expanded). Not sure if that's the source of the issue or if nexus jsut hasn't registered your download for some reason. you might try redownloading the mod in case something went wrong on that front.
Hey, I just wanted to tell you that the mod Extra Animal Configs (here) allows you to assign Extra Houses to animals, so that your dragons would retain the ability to live in barns, but also would be able to live in your cavern for the players who have Dwarven Expansion. It would look like this:
As far as I know, 1.6 allows you to choose only one building as an animal's house. You can assign custom buildings as houses for animals in the animal data, but then it's the only one. Meaning that you have to choose between the barn/coop or the custom building. With that mod, they can have both on a per animal basis (because the other workaround is to specify in the building data that your custom building can have several valid occupant types). So the players who have Dwarven Expansion and Everia's Dragons wouldn't be obligated to put their dragons in the cavern.
Anyway, just thought I'd mention the possibility, but you can of course implement things in an entirely different way.
Odd question, but would you happen be willing to make this compatible with Animal Husbandry? I mainly want to be able to show them in Animal Shows, and give them treats. =w=
I added some compatibility for dragons in my Dwarven Expansion animal husbandry patch: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/22597
It isn't full compatibility (I add treats, but dragons don't drop meat). In theory it works with the animal show, but i haven't tested that feature specifically.
That's a long wait when I have an egg day 15 of spring year 1 and have to finish the community center then unlock the island, and then do the field research, all of which aren't related to this mod or dwarven expansion but I guess I have to wait until winter at least. Also using an ostrich incubator kinda brakes lore.. you definitely need to make a dragon incubator for both normal and dwarven expansion that fits the lore of dragons like a bed of coals or something. A simple incubator wouldn't be able to produce enough heat to hatch a dragon. Just a personal take
Can you point me to the in-game lore on dragon hatching requirements? I assume you're getting that info from a lost book or secret note of some sort? Once I've reviewed the in-game lore I'll look at updating the Dwarven Expansion Cavern incubator accordingly.
As for which incubators work, it's a restriction spelled out by concerned ape that a building should only have a single incubator, so you'll need to use the ostrich incubator for barns or the cave incubator that exists currently for Caverns.
As for the long wait, that's why I left dragons as being purchasable from Marnie if you aren't running Dwarven Expansion.
you shouldn't need another version, do you have dwarven expansion installed?
If you do, that will disable buying the dragons from Marnie, but that also moves the dragons to the cavern which has an incubator built in that can be used for the eggs and then adds eggs to Marlon's shop to be purchased randomly
Yes I have dwarven expansion but I don't have the option to move them to caverns clicked... But still would be cool to have their own type of incubator.. I understand if it's a lot of work so no worries, just inpatient because the cavern is a lot of money which I don't have close to yet
I had this error for a while now Can't apply data patch "(CP) Everia's Dragons Expanded > Include assets/Machines/machines.json > EditData Data/Machines #2" to Data/Machines: the field '(BC)mytigio.everias_dragons_expanded_JewelryMaker' doesn't match an existing target
Thanks to some help, they figured out adding this to the Manifest for the dependencies, fixes the entire issue. {"UniqueID": "mytigio.dwarven_expansion", "IsRequired": false }
I couldn't use the Dragon Eggs with the Jewelry Maker till this was done.
Interestingly, I can use the jewelry maker fine, but this should be in the manifest either way. I suspect without this line it's probably just dependent on the load order of the mods, so it's a bit random if they work or not, I'll get it added to the manifest for the next version.
That might be the case, because when we were testing it out in discord, it worked a couple times and I never got the error. There was times I got the error when the game loaded and the save loaded, and times I only got it on save load. Thank you!
I'm having the same problem. It's nowhere in Robin's or the Wizard's menu. Also in my game, it seems like Marnie are still selling dragons. Do we need to have Dwarven Expansion as well to enable the cavern?

There's a lot more info on their mod's page and GitHub, but it would neatly solve the problem of where they live.

If you keep the dragons set to the barn, you can put them in either.
Sadly since Animal husbandry requires another file format to work I'll need to handle it as a second mod :/

If you don't have it, they can live in barns like normal.
Similarly, the dragons will be sold at Marnie's unless you have Dwarven Expansion (since the cavern with the incubator for the eggs is in that mod)
