Hate to disappoint, but the chance I’ll make items for AGE in the nearer future is pretty low. If you want to try your hand at making a patch yourself, you’ll need to use CP to… - make the actual items - make the corresponding sprites and - implement the machine rules to actually make the items. Feel free to reference my code. If you need help, though, I’d recommend asking the Stardew Discord server’s mod making channel.
Nice, i'm a sucker for mods that adds extra event, it gives more depth to some NPCs, which is never a bad thing
I read that you are on maintenance mod, but will give it a try for some modded flowers' support : Singing Sunflower, Wisteria, Mini Stardrop Flower & the 7 flowers from Voidwitch's Familiar. Not expecting anything, but hey, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take
Hello, this mod seem to be bugging out with the newest version of cornucopia more flowers, can you update this so it is compatible with the newest version of that mod please?
Hiya and thanks for the heads-up! I’ll look into it over the weekend. If you want to help me out a bit, what exactly do you mean they’re "bugging out"? If you want to be even more helpful, I’d appreciate a link to your SMAPI log. You can find instructions on how to upload it here.
Edit: I have tested it and... everything works fine. Have you made sure all your mods and SMAPI are up to date?
I think I should've worded it better, but when I started on a playthrough using both this mod and Cornucopia More Flowers all of the everlasting cornucopia flowers were replaced with the sprite for error items. I then checked my collection tab and the entire everlasting flower section for cornucopia was just not there. I updated all the necessary required for both mods and even tested it out on a new farm but it was still not there.
Edit: Here's the log URL https://smapi.io/log/e11457040e70409fa3f4190bb5ee72b3
That is... very awkward. I'll try to look into it! Might take a while, though – I've got pretty limited free time these days. In the meantime, could you do me a favor and...
doublecheck both Everlasting Flowers' and Cornucopia's configs from the title screen and make sure they match (which means either both have extended flowers on or neither does – I'll probably get rid of that config sooner or later, but again... so little time)? If they do and the issue persists...
uninstall and reinstall both mods? That may or may not help, but it certainly can't hurt. Keep in mind that'll reset their configs, though.
give me more details? You said you see sprites for error items – if you hover over them, are the names and descriptions correct or are they also broken? Do you happen to use Vortex?
I managed to fixed it after checking the config option, I was not aware that the config option for cornucopia was turned off by default in settings. Thank you for taking your time to help to though!
Great to hear it's finally working properly! The config is off by default because there were some problems with automatically turning the items on and off to fit Cornucopia's config – unobtainable items that were still required for perfection, for example. Having the extended pack on and Everlasting Flowers' config off hasn't caused any problems during my tests, so I've honestly no clue why it's been such a thorn in your side. I'll probably try to make use of Cross-Mod Compatibility Tokens to detect Cornucopia's config in the next update, but I'd like to make some more little changes to actually justify the update first.
I openly have to admit my stuff is basically in maintenance mode for now, though. My free time's taken an absolute nosedive and my general interest in SDV is pretty low at the moment. That might change at some point, of course, but for the time being, I probably won't release any content updates or new mods and focus on keeping the old ones as bug-free as possible.
I'm sorry life got hectic for you - hoping it calms down soon. Everlasting Flowers is in a great place to sit for a while. I hope the Stardew bug bites again, you do great work (I also love Changing Skies and your mini turbines!) and I would love to see what else you come up with in the future.
Aw, thanks. Let's just say... working for eight hours a day takes much longer than I thought it would, ha.It probably will! Just... not now. I do plan on playing 1.6 eventually... and I'm still sitting one a mostly finished animal mod, too. I'll prooobably release that eventually, hehe. But seriously, thanks a lot for your kind words! Hearing that really means a lot to me.
As far as I can tell, only the sprite was misbehaving. The name (and I think also the price?) was unaffected… If we want to get a little technical, it happened because CP apparently doesn’t like it when you lock item patches behind hasMail checks because those are loaded too late on game start. Oh well.
Thank you so much for your graciousness! It looks like the flowers from the Cornucopia - More Flowers mod aren't displaying properly, they turned into Blue Jazz after I slept in the game https://smapi.io/log/5192b42324b448919472c817f6b816f5
I came to report this too. They didn't change after I slept, but when I first plucked them from the machine. Oddly, in the same batch (multiple machines) I had both tree- (ylang, wisteria, and magnolia) and starter- (calico and summer roses) based flowers glitch to blue jazz, but pink cat came out just fine.
Sorry for the late reply – life's been really busy the past two weeks and I doubt it'll calm down too soon. I hate to admit it, but I've genuinely no idea what's going on here. I'll try to get to the heart of it, but I can't promise anything. Thanks fr the additional report, though. Could I get a log from you, too?
Edit: Actually, scratch that. 6480 helped me out and let me know where the problem is. I'll have a fix (along with an update for the crystal sprites) out tomorrow.
Should be fixed as of the latest update. Thanks for reporting the problem again! You'll have to enable the extended flowers from Cornucopia via the new config item (see the description), but I'm sure you'll manage. I could bore you with the long and technical explanation, but... I won't. It's definitely a really weird bug, though, that's for sure.
In multiplayer, after getting the letter, only my farmhand got the quest in the journal to bring the wizard the fairy rose. Though we were both still able to trigger the event and get the recipe for the crystal. However, after we both completed the quest, the quest still stays in my farmhand's journal. Any way to get rid of it?
That… is awkward. I’ve admittedly never tested it in MP, but I’ll look into it tomorrow. Does either deleting the quest from the quest log or completing it using CJB Cheats Menu work?
Okay so I tested both ways you mentioned. Deleting did not work as there was no delete button for that quest on the farmhand's quest log. But CJB Cheat Menu works! Thanks!
Thanks for reporting back! Well, that’s at least something. Sorry for the extra work, ha. Good news: I think I know what’s going on and it should be a pretty easy thing to fix. If my hunch is right, it was just my failing to take MP into account and only letting the active player get the quest and remove it from them. Just to make sure: Both of you got the mail and the initial quest to visit the wizard, right? Did you also both have the second event scene and unlock the crafting recipe?
We both got the mails but the host did not get the quest in the quest log, the farmhand did. We both were able to trigger the first and the second event to unlock the recipe. After unlocking the recipe, the quest did not disappear from the farmhand's quest log. That's about all the issues we've encountered so far.
No worries! LUTI stands for Less Ugly Town Interiors, but I think I’ve already identified and fixed the bug. Basically, if either SVE or LUTI were installed and you didn’t skip the event scene, the quest wasn’t properly added to and removed from the quest log. Thanks for reporting the issue! I doubt I would’ve noticed that on my own.
I'm just curious since I could never figure it out even before 1.6 came out- How do you craft the Everlasting Flowers? I get the crystal crafted and get a compatible flower but I never get any recipes or anything to make the flowers into Everlasting Flowers (it's not the first time a mod refuses to give me any recipes that it should even with all the requirements installed and it probably won't be the last) but I'm really wanting to get these flowers by actually crafting them instead of having to cheat the Everlasting Flowers in from CJB Item Spawner
I suppose I don't explicitly state it anywhere, but the crystal works just like kegs and preserves jars do, for example. Select a flower so your farmer holds it above their head, then right click the crystal. The flower will be gone from your inventory, you'll hear a sound effect (which, by the way, is named "yoba" internally) and the crystal will start bobbing up and down. Three in-game days later, it'll be done processing and you can collect your shiny new flower in a dome. Looks like I've done at least something right if you decided to install the new version, though, haha.
does anyone have the same problem where everlasting purple iris somehow doesnt display the correct sprite and thus it doesnt count in the shipping collection?
edit: i tested them out with item spawner and seems like lilac pansy, lilac and spotted orchid also have the same problem ;-; theyre all from lumisteria's serene meadow. i wonder if this is a compatibility problem since i also have quain living 2 installed
That’s… suboptimal. I temporarily excluded some items because I hadn’t finished their sprites yet… looks like I might’ve forgotten re-enabling them. If that’s the case, sorry for the trouble and thanks for reporting it!
I’ll look into it tomorrow. If you want to help me out in the meantime, one question: Do the affected items show up in the item spawner?
And fixed, thanks again for reporting it! It wasn't a compatibility problem but a good old human mistake – I re-enabled the actual items but not the producer rules that let you process them.
