This mod adds a new Custom NPC to Stardew Valley: Aymeric de Borel, from the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy XIV!
If you're new to Stardew Valley and/or modding:
1) Go to https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley
2) Download SMAPI (Stardew Valley Modding API) and follow the provided instructions.
- This mod will provide you with a new launcher, which you will use to run the modded version of the game.
3) Download the Content Patcher mod.
- Stardew Aymeric is a Content Patcher modpack, and it must be present for the mod to load.
4) On whatever hard drive your Steam games are installed on, find the file path: steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Mods
5) Ensure that both the Content Patcher and [CP] Aymeric folders are placed within the Mods folder.
6) Use the SMAPI executable (StardewModdingAPI.exe) to start Stardew Valley. The icon should be a Pufferfish-Chicken.
NOTE: If you want to play multiplayer and/or have achievement progress track, ensure that Steam is running before you start up the game.
If you're an experienced modder:
- This mod will potentially conflict with other mods that modify the Cindersap Forest map, such as the Eugene Custom NPC. To use Aymeric and Eugene in the same game together, please see the SVE version of the mod and download the appropriate version.
- If you would like to play a version of this mod that is compatible with Stardew Valley Expanded (SVE), please see the SVE version of this mod.
Known Issues/Missing Features:
- Aymeric currently will not attend another NPC's wedding (if, for example, the farmer marries Abigail or another villager)
- Aymeric is currently missing Winter portraits and sprites, added with the 1.6 update
- If Aymeric is being added to a previously-existing save rather than a new one, there will likely be bushes or logs spawned inside and around his house in the Cindersap Forest. With the 1.6 update, this can cause issues, with unbreakable bushes spawning in Aymeric's scheduled path. For this reason, it is recommended to either start a fresh save with the Aymeric mod, or to utilize a mod like Destroyable Bushes or Reset Terrain Features to remove these bushes. Please note that the most up-to-date version of Reset Terrain Features cannot be found on NexusMods.
- Aymeric's 14-heart event can be interrupted if a certain summer weather event occurs in the middle of it. The event should proceed as normal afterwards. Unfortunately, I'm not sure of a way to fix this :(
