I'm back, and so is the new version of Enhanced Player Sprites!
It's been a while... The year 2020 has been a crazy one. First a global pandemic, then I've been busy moving out, and just recently Stardew Valley 1.5 was released. EPS fell under my radar. I had plans last year for a new update, but one thing led to another and it ended up receiving a massive delay. However, everything I did work on back then plus more is bundled into this latest update. That actually makes this the biggest content update to EPS yet!
Your overwhelming support has not slowed down though. The amount of endorsements I've received has almost doubled since last year! At this rate I might soon be on the first page of all the "Player" mods; that's an accomplishment I would never reach without you lovely people. I do have more plans for EPS, and I'd be happy to take ideas and wishes you have into account! Please don't hesitate to comment your thoughts.
It's nothing major, just a mini-update because many things I'm working on are going to take a while, but I wanted to get these things out ASAP: - Fixed the new shirts being invisible. - Added sandals as a shoe option. Also separated the "Large" shoes into "Large" and "Pointy", since they were technically different between the genders, so now either gender can wear the others' shoes. - Finally "finished" all the feminine shirts! It's been in my backlog for way too long, but it's at least somewhat complete now. These are still subject to change, because I had to rush them out. - The (regular) shirts have been tweaked a bit from the front angle. I might still need to work on this, as well as the side angle. - "Fixed" the weird blinking bug for female farmers! Also something that's been bothering me for a long time. This fix is more of a shoddy workaround, but it does its job at least. I've put it in the experimental options which you will need to enable manually.
I've also switched file format to .zip instead of .rar. I kinda forgot I was using WinRAR and that not everyone has it. Oops. I had to strip the new things I was working on from the code, so hopefully I didn't mess anything up accidentally.
Got irked by that enough to go and fix it :\ If you want to play with all of these features in 1.6, here are the files you need: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EkVvwbNyoiNaxDLPo88bEi_nsq66CvLj/view?usp=sharing Merge the "assets" folder with the one in the mod's folder, confirm to overwrite the files
This mod works for me on 1.6 except for two issues:
1. Hats and clothes included in the 1.6 update are broken, as noted in previous posts. 2. The Male Jaw setting works but the labels are wrong, or something:
-> Selecting Standard jaw gives me a round jaw. -> Selecting Round jaw gives me a square jaw.
Tested with only Enhanced Player Sprites, Content Patcher, and GMCM installed.
Hi! i'd love to use your mod but I just can't get it to work. The gloves load into the game like normal, but the face of my male farmer still round as vanilla. Also when my farmer has his back to the screen there's some weird bars around him. Is this associated with the Content Patcher update ?
It's working with the newest CP. I had the same issue, but it turned out to be another mod that was performing "Load" on the same files. For me it was seasonal villager outfits. I was able to disable the change in that config.
@trancewalker could you please specify what did you disable? for me it all works fine but the face is vanilla and the back no matter what im wearing exposes naked shoulders for some reason, and im running seasonal outfits
