For anyone that's interested, I've recompiled the mod with the newest version of SMAPI and fixed a bug that prevented the use vanilla option from working (not sure if anyone ever even noticed it, why use vanilla if you have a mod to change it?).
I loaded yours up and set the config.. but nothing changed .. I was wondering if I needed to start a fresh game or if a mod might conflict as I am using Adventurer's Guild Expanded
Luv this mod, but it was over too quick! I'm a goof at trying to come up with ideas for extending the challenges, or I'd give that a try... Maybe come out with a "Hard Core" version? The goodies as rewards are ok, but it would be a nice touch to add a new "Hard Core" title...
Technically it should work. This mod may bring up a warning message on startup as it won't recognize the new monster, but there's no logic forcing monster entries to be a vanilla monster so you can put in entries for new monsters.
There's also an option for mod owners to create an integration with this mod if they desire
I haven't had a chance to test it yet, so let me know how it goes!
is this still maintained? the stardew compatibility page is saying it's up to date but i'm getting the following error:
[Custom Adventure Guild Challenges] This mod failed in the GameLoop.GameLaunched event. Technical details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at CustomGuildChallenges.CustomGuildChallengeMod.OnGameLaunched(Object sender, GameLaunchedEventArgs e) in D:\Users\Josh\Documents\Visual Studio 2017\Projects\StardewMod-CustomSlayerChallenges\CustomGuildChallenges\CustomGuildChallengeMod.cs:line 173 at StardewModdingAPI.Framework.Events.ManagedEvent`1.Raise(TEventArgs args)
i'm usually pretty decent about figuring these things out but i honestly have no idea what this means... or who josh is and why this is looking for a user that doesn't exist lol
great idea. I would love too see how many of the cranky critters I allready smashed by now. But sadly I am not smart enough to fix it. It is running so far an shows my own personal challenges with every special monster listed (minus the wilderness one & squid kid) , but at the end of the day it just doesn't save the day/game (including my reward-items)... now I have to dig many more days to find my two last missing artifacts instead of "earning" it ;-) or use the artifact bugfiyMod... I hope you'll find time and joy to update it... or I will light the bulp and get it, that it was my fault to begin with lol XD anyway thanks for your inspiration with this lovely mod :D
