Hi, are you talking about Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic? sorry no, you'll have to choose one or the other, or delete/disable Sam's files from the Slightly Cuter Aesthetic mod so they don't conflict with Ches's Sam. mine isn't seasonal though, so only do that if you don't mind that everyone else has a bunch of different outfits but Sam doesn't lol. however there is a seasonal version that the folks over at DSV have created and I believe they're updating it for 1.6 eventually. you could potentially combine those files (when they're ready) with the Cuter Aesthetic mod (their Sam disabled) for a more seamless integration.
Hello! I really enjoy this mod and Sam is so perfect like this, thank you so much :)
Fyi, yesterday, when Smapi told me there was a new update, I ran here, deleted the old version and installed the new. And yet, smapi told me (color purple) [SMAPI] You can update 1 mod: [SMAPI] Ches's Sam Portrait Mod 1.3.2: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2288 (you have 1.3.1)
I tried to delete, re-install several times, reboot but Smapi, as an old man, repeat the same sentences.
I prefer to inform you of that (but the mod still works) Thanks again for your work!
PS; English isn't my motherlanguage, so sorry in advance for the mistakes I can do ^^
Hi! The manifest is simply out of date, the author probably forgot to change it. Open up the mod folders until you see the file that says manifest.json, open it with Notepad, and where it says "Version": "1.3.1" change the last 1 into a 2 so it says "Version": "1.3.2"
This should get rid of the notification in your SMAPI log

this comes up in smapi :(((
NVM I FIXED IT! change 1.3,1 in manifest.json to 1.3.1
I hope this mod will get an update when 1.6 releases in a couple weeks! I've been using this mod for so long, there's no way I could ever go back to Sam's normal hairstyle.
For anyone wondering what's happened to the SVO-compatible version of Ches's Sam now that SVO has been hidden, it can be downloaded as a standalone mod from Diverse Stardew Valley's Github wiki! https://github.com/minervamaga/Diverse-Stardew-Valley/wiki Thanks again Cheshire for permission to make them compatible!
Update 2: we've moved again, sorry for the trouble! ^^; New link is here: https://www.moddrop.com/stardew-valley/mods/1073355-diverse-stardew-valley-sam-vincent-jodi-and-kent-dsv-seasonal-outfits/
oh shoot, the files are updated, but the images on the mod are not. thanks for pointing it out! I'll fix it soon. but yeah you're good to download the mod and play :)
Hello!! I really love this mods look and am excited to try it, especially since its SVO compatible! I know you've stated that compatibility with 1.5 is in the works, but I was wondering if you have a rough eta? Also, I'm pretty new to portrait mods, does adding one midway through a playthrough cause issues? Thank you in advance <3
hey! thanks so much, I'm glad you want to try out my mod! So sorry for the delay, I'm currently traveling out of country and have rather sporadic access to D-tier internet and not as much free time as I'd like. I definitely meant to get this out within a few days of the 1.5 update. I'll do some testing tonight and, if all goes smoothly, it should hopefully be out within 24 hours! To answer your second question, no, portrait mods won't affect your gameplay at all, you don't need to worry about that :) this goes for any aesthetic mods that don't change the footprint of something, like a building expansion mod. btw, the wonderful people over at SVO have already updated the SVO Ches's Sam for 1.5 if you didn't already know and wanted to use that version too.
EDIT: Got around to it a lot faster than I thought I would lol. Thanks for the push! Update is up, lmk if you need help installing or if you notice something wrong with the mod :)
I use SVO and your sub mod, and I have been loving it very much! It is a very good look for Sam. I just wanted to ask if there are additional steps needed to using the sub mod other than putting the mods in the mod file. I have been playing the game with those two mods together and I noticed that Sam wasn't wearing the most or none of the festival outfits and it seems that his outfits don't change whether he is outside of inside, or whether it is raining or not. I wasn't sure if I had to ask you the original creator of the mod or SVO creator about this problem so I am leaving the comment for this. Again, thank you so much for this great mod!!
hey thanks, I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying my mod :) It shouldn't require more than putting the [CP] Ches's Sam folder in your Mods folder. Are you sure you're not using another portrait/sprite mod that's attempting to change Sam's appearance? That's the only thing I can think of. Unfortunately if it has something to do with the file itself, I didn't make it, so you'd have to ask the SVO creators about it. I might be able to help see if there's a conflicting mod if you send in a SMAPI log if you like
