      Yeah, since Portraits for vendors got updated we need seasonal portraits for mermaids. 
      This mod doesn't have portraits, only sprites.

      Sure, I can work on that. I haven't used Portraits for Vendors, it released after this mod. 😅

      The old mariner got his portrait (and new dialogue window) about a week ago. He never had a portrait before.
      I can't wait to see how mermaids look like. :)

    Such a great mod to pair with Seasonal Mermaid 's Pendant also, if anyone is curious. ^_^

    Hi wonderful mod, one question. Does this also change the mariner's dialogue? Don't want to have the mermaid speak like the mariner XD

      There is a unique mermaid with unique dialog for each season. 🥰

    Any chance you could make it fully compatible with Seasonal Outfits? I don't want to give up on ALL extra NPCs but these mermaids are super super cute.
    For now though I replaced the Mariner sprite from Seasonal Outfits with one of your mermaids, they won't change with season but at least I get to keep one of them.

      I'll ask Poltergeister. In the meantime, you may be able to delete the mariner file from that mod to prevent it from loading in the newest version. I haven't tested it though and deleting or overwriting files is obviously not an ideal solution.

      Figured out why mine was being overwritten with some help from Esca. My mod should seemlessly overwrite the SCC Mariner now, with no additional configuration required!

      I just noticed that spring mermaid name has been changed since initial release, so I had to update the translation.
      Translation to Russian (updated)

      Nah, I haven't modified the content.json, so I haven't changed her name ever, it was always Sprynglynn 😅Weird! I should have caught the mismatch in the russian translation for sure tho. I gave the rest a double-check as well, and should be all good now. Thank you for the update!

      there's a part about it in the description tab :)

      > "For compatibility with Seasonal Cute Characters, please turn off the Extra NPCs option in that mod's configuration. Generic Mod Config Menu recommended for this step."

      Hi, I also use Seasonal Cute Characters, although even after I've unchecked the box for 'SlightlyCuterExtraNPCs', the Mariner just reverts back to the vanilla version and not a mermaid - but when I talk to him, he does have the mermaid dialogue! :o

      am I just missing something or is another mod possibly conflicting with the Mariner's visuals? I do have quite a few other mods, here is my SMAPI log https://smapi.io/log/66bb33406e814348b1cc1701ed726853

      First, please make sure your changes to Seasonal Cute Characters saved. Because that is EXACTLY what it looks like when that mod is overwriting. Make sure you adjusted the correct Seasonal Cute Characters as well, there are a few of them lol

      List of mods looks VERY familiar. I think this may be the new Aesthic Valley | Witchcore collection layered on old AV with some QOL tweaks? If that's the case, maybe install the Witchcore collection to a fresh profile in Vortex and make sure the mod works there before you add things back in one at a time.

      Unrelated, but either way be sure you remove the DGA Retro Furniture file, since they can't be used any longer. I think that file presents itself as CP in the file name in Vortex which can be mega confusing.

      Edit: This is not a "problem with Vortex" and collections are not supported by Stardrop.

      vortex could easily also be an issue here, if you want to use a mod manager, Stardrop is hella useful and made specifically for stardew :)

      Please be sure you have properly configured seasonal cute characters. Otherwise you would need to provide a log using smapi.io/log.

      Hey there, it is  hard to read what you're sharing, but it seems to have something to do with changes to fish pond data for various items (coral, sea urchin, mussel, oyster), which my mod does not do.  if you want to share a log, I would always recommend using https://smapi.io/log/ and following the instructions on that page.

    dude please start updating the manifest properly more consistently so that I stop having to edit it myself. also maybe update it every two days instead of twice a day. this isn't a mod worth updating this frequently for most of us.

      I apologize, I didn't realize the translator community would be so kind and generous, but ideally you are right, there won't be such frequent updates going forward. I will fix the manifest in the next update, which I will postpone until tomorrow.

      There have been no changes to the core behavior of the mod, only adding translations.

      Edit: Updating now to fix the manifest. I apologize for any discomfort this may cause.

      you're right, I apologize. I didn't mean to come across as rude. I play on the steam deck, and updating these mods is a cumbersome process to say the least. When I have to update this mod so often, it's hard not to feel some degree of irritation towards it in particular.

    heya, I quickly added your mod to the list of 'mariner to mermaid' mods that my mod Maritime Secrets automatically checks for. my mod also parses dialogue changes for custom mariner/mermaid names to use for my own added dialogue and it works with your mod out of the box. of course, I tested it and it's all working
