    When I launch the game SMAPI chirps up a warning: Changed save serializer. These mods change the save serializer. They may corrupt your save files, or make them unusable if you uninstall these mods.

    Anyone know what this means? Having a pretty good run, don't want to risk corrupting this save. Thanks.

      There are several mods that generate this warning, among the PyTK toolset and TMXL. And apparently this one.

      It means that if you UNINSTALL these mods, any save game made while they were installed may be corrupted. No guarantees. You could save your save file from before installation and you would be able to revert to that save if something happened, but of course it will be back at the point of the last save before you installed one of these mods.

      This is due to a old deprecated feature of EF, as far as I know, no mod is using this feature anymore, so it should be 100% safe to ignore.

      EF is no longer being updated (Other then as needed to remain functional) while I work on it's replacement EMU, which will not include this deprecated feature.


      But yeah, generally mods that edit the serializer cannot be uninstalled without first making sure you remove any content (New items [completely delete from your game by trashing them] locations [uninstall the mod that adds them, then make a new save by sleeping], etc,) that these mods allow you to have.

      It is simply a warning that such mods cannot simply be deleted, you need to go through a specific "uninstall" process, or you risk your save being lost.

      Android is not supported, take it up with the SMAPI for android dev, I do not have the time, energy or resources to support the different codebase used for Android.

    are the seed pack colors coded for season by hand rather than by some variable growth season?

      Doesn't seem to work *how*? You provide no details of your issue, no log with errors or warnings for me to look at.

      All you have provided is a very unhelpful "Doesn't seem to work with X", which is completely useless to me because I could literally run both mods together and end up not having any issues - because it could actually be a third mod interfering with things.

      As for your question, seed packs colors are predefined as part of their textures, dynamically recoloring them when their seasons never change in-game (vanilla) is a waste of resources so CA would not have bothered doing so.

    The mod makes my saves dissapear when i try to load a save, my saves comes back after deleting the mod.

    Edit: just saw the comments below, im using android :(

      Android not supported, take it up with the SMAPI for Android dev, due to android having different source code it is not feasible for me to support both the PC-based version and the android-based version.

      Well, you start by using the correct name, which is not `ef_bushreset` - second, even the correctly named command `world_bushreset` is a old version, which is deprecated in favour of doing `world_reset bushes` instead, as EF now provides support for resetting more then just bushes to their new-game state.

      As to how to use commands, the wiki should provide a clear explanation on things.

    my game plays fine until I go to sleep and then it just spins. I've gotten rid of some outdated mods and the issue still persists. Could it by this mod?

      Nope, it is one of your mods that adds new items, you have something in your shipping bin that the game is unable to deal with properly, so it crashes trying to save your game.

    I'm trying to make a basic SMAPI mod using Entoarox and I seem to be having trouble with referencing. The file starts with 'using Entoarox.Framework' along with the SMAPI stuff. First VS said I was missing a reference, so I added a reference to the dll in my mods folder. Then the error disappeared, but it still failed to build (it worked fine before trying to reference Entoarox to send a message to the console every button press). There are 0 errors but output says

    The type or namespace name 'Entoarox' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

    What am I doing wrong here?

      Potentially one of many things, without a look at your code I honestly cannot say, I recommend you get support in the SDV discord's #making-mods channel, the people there can probably help you easily, and if not, You need only send a mention my way, and I'll help you directly ;)
