Now I have followed all the steps and read everything here, SMAPI says unknown command when trying to use it? eventhought further up after using help is shows the set_backpack_size command, help anyone???
I'm using this on the PC and love it! When I started playing on Android, though, SMAPI says it doesn't recognize the command, even though the mod is installed, and SMAPI recognizes it.
Finding this mod made me realize why I was having weird scrolling issues after uninstalling the currently bugged Vertical Toolbar. I was able to shrink my backpack down to 12 and erase the additional 5 slots that had been added and then return it to the 48 from Bigger Backpack. Thank you so much!
And what is the point of this mod if the purchase will have the same number of slots. There was a cool mod where you could do several backpacks and the price increased with each backpack.
well, first off, no one is forcing you to download this and that mod still exists, it's called "bigger backpack". but anyway... 1. you can make it bigger than that but only 3 rows will be shown in inventory menu (you can still cycle through them) 2. for temporarily changing it
I would love that personally. I am not a fan of the inventory shuffle, so I always love mods to let me carry more stuff. :) I'd love if I could make this as big as I like. haha.
Hey I was wondering I downloaded the mod and it's working but how do you get the items back out of the inventory slots? My backpacks at 48 but since I can't see the items in the slots I don't know how to use them.
If you have a controller, hit the Right Button (not the trigger but the button) to cycle through the inventory. The hidden row will show up and the top (maybe the bottom?) row will become the hidden row.
If you are using Mouse + Keyboard, then I recommend getting the RotateToolbar mod to rotate through the rows because there's no built in hotkey for it.
First make sure you are in game and can move your character around and are not in a cutscene. Then, in the SMAPI console, which should appear when you start the game, type this and hit enter:
set_backpack_size 36
If everything is set up correctly, it will change your backpack to the biggest size. If you get a yellow or red message instead of a white/gray message after pressing enter, then let me know what the message says and I will help you figure it out.
