It's 2025, current Stardew Valley version is 1.6.15 and Smapi version is 4.1.10
and this mod still works flawlessly!
Applies global time altering even in modded maps, literally became the backbone of modded gaming on SDV with major location expansions.
Thank you for making this mod!
Ps. I play with 800+ mods , with expansions from every single direction around Pelican Town, that would not be possible without this mod.

Ok what gives? I have this mod on my mod list, and it's enabled vis vortex, but whenever I type in time_multiplier_toggle it doesn't work.

You have probably already found this work-around, but I had the same problem.

I loaded my farm, toggled the mod and all was fine, but it didn't recognize the actual "change" command for the timing.

So, I closed the game, entered the Mods file and found TimeMultiplier. In there I went into "Data" and opened the .json file for my farm with a text editor.

There are only two lines, the first that the mod is enabled and the second is the time multiplier. I changed that value from 1 to 0.5 and when I started the farm again, everything worked fine :)
    2. I go to my .json file and the first line says, "Enabled; false" every time. I change false to "true," close it, come back, and the file says "false" again.

The mod isn't working in-game even though it says it's changing the time interval properly in the command box. Help?

Don't forget to save the change before closing the file

May I ask if this is still working? I tried to use "TimeSpeed" mod but it keeps reseting the set time back to 10min = 7 sec whenever I change my location or just enter/leave a house. Whatever I do... I have to reset it again and again and Im sick of this. I only can just completly pause the time and that is not what Im looking for - even that this is still a better solution than reseting the time or having it go on vanilla speed.

Since Im looking for a way to make the daily time from less than 15 min to at least twice that long I wonder if this mod will help me geting this done.
The reasons for this if Im allowed to explain, is that I want to have enough time geting stuff done on a daily base. No more geting rushed by time, more time to explore and visit places and less chance to end up in front of locked doors. It feels like every second needs to be well invested and Im exhausted, annoyed and frustrated by this fact. Wasting time for things you like to do or just taking time with activities shouldn't be punished.
I do not care about the endgoal of the game or stuff like that, I just want more freedom to play the game in a way I prefer, but the game itself gives you no options for that.
So will this mod help me geting this done and is it also still working?

      to answer my own post:

since I just downloaded it and tried it out I can tell that it is indeed working in 2023 even with the newest SMAPI version no problem.
The mod also allows me to do exactly what I was looking for so Im very glad I found it. Thanks :)

This mod still work with newest SMAPI version!

For who wants 1 in-game minute = 1 real sec, just put time multiplier to 0.43, so this gonna make the game extend 3 secs for each 10 minutes in game. Default game time is 7 secs each 10 minutes, so increasing 43% make it up to 10.001secs +/-

Anyway, this mod keep awesome to use! <3

Thanks for clarifying; I was curious about that.

For anyone reading this, this is NOT how that works. .5 doubles the time and alone is 7 additional seconds (14 total) per ten minutes in game, .33 is roughly triple or 21 seconds per 10 minutes in game. .7 is the value you want for 1 second to 1 minute or 10 to 10.
  5. Multiplayer version 1.1 doesn't work anymore. Starting up Stardew with it gives a red error in the command box saying the version no longer works.

    Yes.
Now it's about what I have energy for, not what I can walk to before 2am  (using 0.43)

    Thank you.

I've been looking for something like that, easily installed and configured, it's aprreciated. Only one question for me to ask there:

Does the time of the day count which means Pierre will always stay from 09:00 till 17:00 in his shop, OR will he leave like at 14:00 if the time is set to 0,5.
Other example: Abigail walks to the woods on sunday afternoons, will she be moving any slower or faster till she reached her destination, is it scripted that the MPCs will stay for a certain amount of time or does it only matters what the clock shows?

14:00-17:00 no matter what multiplier i used, they just chill longer OR is it scriped that someone will only stay like 6 RealLife minutes at the same location? and perhaps head back home way to soon for that time of the day?

I apologize for my english, it is my third language. I hope you guys understand what i meant.

I can't configure this mod, cause the API console open and load the game without letting me type the commands. Even after load, this doesn't let the console opened at background.

I am using Stardew Valley 1.5.4 without steam/gog launcher, and SMAPI 3.10, the lastest version.

Omg tysm, the very moment I started using this mod the game started to have a whole different vibe to it. As someone with anxiety I couldn't help but to anxiously check up on time constantly because of how fast it goes in game, it always felt too pressuring. Plus I really want to make summer season as long as possible (since I mostly play this game in summer).

Got a new PC, so I reinstalled Stardew with the 1.5 update and DL the last version of SMAPI and also your mod.

I did it a few time on my old PC and it always worked well, but now, when I enter the "time_multiplier_toggle" on my new farm, SMAPI warns me : he doesn't know this command. Same with the other command.

SMAPI was installed via manual installation and time multiplier via Vortex.

Thanks in advance for your replies

I'm getting the same error and when I enter help to view a list of registered commands, the time ones aren't listed.
