Hi there. I had to uninstall this mod because of problems with my computer and now I'm getting "Unable to access some inventory" messages when using the kitchens. Can you help? Thanks in advance.
Also got the same message from Better Crafting after removing this mod. Ingredients in farmhouse default fridge doesn't show up in cooking menu. Tried editing my save file..
Found this: <specialChestType>9</specialChestType>
Changed it to: <specialChestType>None</specialChestType>
No more error message from Better Crafting for me.
Is this problem between Better Crafting and Big Fridges resolved now? I'd like to use Big Fridges - and I have not yet done the 2nd upgrade on my farmhouse so now's the time. But I'll be very sad if I find out that Better Crafting can't see what's in my Big Fridge
Rant: I don't know why Fridge things in mods are coded to look for chests types instead of looking if a chest has the fridge value as true. If someone knows let me know
So it sounds like everything works fine as long as the mod stays installed? Perhaps adding a console command to undo the big-fridge would be helpful for pre-uninstall? Similar to how Bigger Backpack has a command to shrink your backpack (dumping contents on the floor) to make removing the mod safe? Can people confirm that Better Crafting works fine with Big Fridges as long as you don't uninstall it? Thanks
Looks nice, if installed on an existing playthrough, does it just replaces the existing mini-fridge (& keep its content) or you can only buy it from Robin? Btw, the vanilla mini-fridge was working great with Carry Chests, does this too? Can't test it right now cause at work
The mini fridge only changes the sprite to be more "mini", so it should work the same with every other mod. The big fridge is new and can only be bought, maybe I'll add a recipe later to create one or upgrade it from a mini fridge.
You can "put" a big fridge on top of a mini fridge and it will work the same as when putting a big chest on top of a normal one, keeping colors and items.
I don't use Carry Chests, but if they don't touch the placement too much it should work. Tell me if there is any compat problem to fix it when you check it.
Well, it works FINE Although i couldn't replace a mini-fridge with a big one like big chest to chest. Worked fine when i tried with chests, but when i right-clicked a mini-fridge while i had a big fridge selected, nothing happened, it just opened the big fridge (this happens when you left-click while have selected a container at the inventory bar with Carry Chests, so there might be an incompatibility issue there).
From what I can see, you can put a new Big Fridge on top of a Mini Fridge (new or with items, don't matter)
And you can freely move Big Fridges around (I noticed that the sprite is wrong when held, I can fix that)
And yeah, you can't merge Mini Fridges and Big Fridges, no matter the order, but I noticed that is because Carry Chest itself doesn't allow it, so its not a "compat issue", but something that is not implemented in their part actually.
And their implementation actually have a few bugs when you swap from chest to big chests, so its actually better that they didn't implemented the fridge part. I'll write my own on swap thing.
Ok, i think i found my issue, & it's a Carry Chests thing... the swapping works perfect as long as the mini-fridge is placed on the ground, but the big fridge is in the inventory, either by cheating with smapi command or by buying it. If i place the Big Fridge on the ground, pick it up again & try to swap it with the mini-fridge, its like Carry Chests gets a stroke & doesn't allow swapping. Placing the Big Fridge on the ground again & using a tool to pick it up, allows it to be able to be swapped with the mini-fridge again.
Posted the issue on the Carry Chests page, hoping for a fix... so tap, you are right, making your own version is the safest way to go.

I couldn't even get to merge chest only having Carry Chest installed, just putting a Big Chest on top of a small one, but the graphics bugged if it had color. No idea what happened there.
Tbh, if i wasn't using it as an extra 70-slots inventory (x3 ), i would have already ditched it from what i found the last days... maybe i do it if, for example that has nothing to do with this mod ^^, a Carry Fridges comes out... it would be very convenient to be able to move around full bridges anyway...
Hi, I'm trying to make alternative textures for the added fridge, but the paint bucket doesn't work for the big fridge, maybe you can help me? Here is my texture.json: It's the pixels! When I replace the image directly, it works so well that I overlook that I should replace the same pixels.
I added a 'trade in' shop entry to Robin to 'upgrade' old mini-fridges to Big Fridges as an alternate way to buy Big Fridges, it costs one mini-fridge, plus 8500 gold. You lose 500 gold to save 2500 gold when buying big fridges.
Definitely trying this mod, although "heart" being spelled as "hearth" (which is the stone floor in front of a fireplace) in the description was pretty confusing initially haha
I only upgraded my farmhouse once. I have enabled the "progressive house fridge" option, but due to a module update, this option is turned off by default, and my farmhouse fridge has become larger. When I enable this option again, it is still a large refrigerator and cannot be restored. Even if the module is deleted and reinstalled, it cannot be restored.
New issue, because I don't want to expand the refrigerator in the early stages of the game, I have disabled your MOD. But at the same time, it caused the failure of the Better Crafting MOD, and I was unable to use the kitchen to extract ingredients from the refrigerator, prompting "Unable to access some inventory". If you don't have Better Crafting the compat patch won't load, but the base version will. You can delete BigFridge.BC if you don't want the compat patch.
