Hello author, I'm not sure if it's just me but most, if not all, of my packaged items have their colors messed up(?). Instead of the crates being all brown with a dash of color to distinguish products, the whole thing is colored. Same goes with the canned fish
Came here to say the same thing. I am having the same thing happen without the pmf portion enabled to expand that function. You can peep my smapi report here: https://smapi.io/log/c806b4c661f041dfb8a0a2ce8ad9315b(I'm playing with 500+ mods so this may not be useful. I will report back as I problem solve.)
Hello author, I'm not sure if it's a name display issue. When packaging processed artisan items, only the original name is displayed. For example, after being packaged, Yangtao fruit wine only displays as fruit wine packet.
Same with some other items, like every smoked fish (all are smoked crate), pickles (all are pickles crate) etc. I guess it appears like this if you don't use PFM.
EDIT: This message only seems to trigger when opening CJB Item Spawner. One of the items near the top of my list loads in as an error item notranslation:package.name
**Note**This hasn't caused any real issues beyond some red text in the smapi interface.
smapi is telling me "[game] Failed loading texture SMAPI/jabbic.cpartisanpackaging/assets/package.png for item (O)jabbic.CPArtisanPackaging_Package: asset doesn't exist." which is true, the png is not in the assets. i looked at previous releases and this seems to be from when crates were able to be packaged? But objects.json is still trying to fetch this asset maybe? It is the only one that makes reference to this asset.
Wow thank you so much for your work! And you did it so quickly!
As a side note, I found it odd, though this may be by design, that unprocessed animal products (ie. Eggs[white, brown, golden, ostrich, dino, duck, void], Milk[Cow/Goat]. and miscellaneous like wool, duck feather and truffle) do not interact with the packaging machines at all. *Personal opinion only* but boxes of eggs and crates of milk seem like a normal thing. Box of rabbits feet would be weird though.
Thank you, I love this mod and I am happy it gets such attentive support :3
That's the thing, in real life we put absolutely everything in boxes, so even rabbit feet wouldn't be outside of the realm of possibility, just like almost every item in the game including small pieces of furniture. But the original mod was made with balancing in mind and I'm not comfortable with changing things too much, especially since I'm awful at balancing.
Ahh that makes sense ya. I didn't really look at it through the lens of balance. My monkey brain just thought "why can't I box this?" and that is as far as it went. Yes the balance would be completely broken if low-cost produce was able to be tossed in a box for +1000 gold. So, it's a good call to leave it as is.
I'm not sure this mod is working correctly math-wise.
So this is what I'm seeing. Canned herring sells for 90 per can. It takes 10 cans to make one box of canned goods (this is a value of 900). The box of canned goods sells for 396. Seems like it is way lower than it should be. I thought boxes of canned goods were supposed to be 2x the value of the input (or at least higher value)
Fixed in version 5.0.6 of the PFM Add-On. Crates were supposed to require 4 cans, and the price was calculated according to that number, but a bug made them require 10 cans instead. I turned the bug into a feature and adjusted the price accordingly, so your crate of herrings should be worth 990g now.
I don't know if this was supposed to be a bug but the packer repacks all artisan goods. This includes crate items which means (eg. Jelly crates can be repacked and it creates {0} Crate Crate) I can amass high value goods and crate them multiple times.
