Sorry if I'm just doing something wrong, but coming back after a year ish break and updating my mods, and couldn't figure out how to get these Turkeys, the Quails, and the Peafowl working. When going to unzip the files they just say "Can not open files as an archive", and can't figure out if that means I'm missing something or something else has gone wrong. Any help appreciated thanks
Are you supposed to be able to put the turkey eggs in an incubator? I can't so just wondering if I'm supposed to be able to. I can use the magic wand to get turkey meat though :)
Ooooh! So someome finally dpoing the conversion!Awsome! I was getting worried we'd never get it.
Question. Is the conversion still compatible with Animal husbandry? AKA- will it drop turkey meat if I butch.... I mean if i gently make a dimensional warp on my turkey?
(Also, will other animal be converted? Deers? Buffaloes? Pheonixes?
Um tbh I'm not sure about the Animal Husbandry compatibility. The original file that enables that is on the original mod page...afaik it should still work.
For the other animals, it depends on permissions from the original authors. I'm waiting to hear back from a few. I know for a fact Trent is working on updating his animals which includes buffalos, black sheep, raccoons, etc. And I know MythicFenix gave someone permission to do a redux on their phoenixes that I helped with
I don't think the optional file of the original mod will still function. The original mod objects were made with JA. In the original mod files both versions are the complete original mod plus (for the husbandary mod version) two objects added via JA and obviously a Animal Husbandary Part "[AHM]".
MAYBE it COULD still function if the folders "[JA]" with those two objects and the folder "[AHM] Turkey" are extracted from the optional file of the original mod and are added to the new mod version but I don't think this will be a long term thing. Also I don't think this will REALLY work out, eventhough I couldn't test this yet.
Maybe those features could be checked and maybe then be added to the new mod Version. Also because of SMAPI possibly telling there is some mod update and things aren't as uploaded on Nexus when we try to patch that on our own as described above.
Maybe I could check that (over the next MONTHS) or maybe you or someone else could do some quick check for us?
I've noticed SMAPI is capturing an error "[game] Can't get audio ID 'null' because it doesn't exist." Removing the "Sound": "null" and "BabySound": "null" values from the content.json file corrects this.
The adult turkeys seem to have an error in my multiplayer game. They look like chickens with a cancel symbol on them. Some kind of link problem maybe? the baby and feather images still work.
Go into the json file and find where it links the sprite images. On the adult turkey, it will have an extra file directory 'Animal/Animal' is what is says to be exact. It has this mistake twice in the json. Just erase the extra 'Animal/' and it works.

Edit: Should be working now
I've got the game open currently; would you like a copy of the errors its showing? :)
As of right now I don't think any of the birds I've done hatch from their own eggs but I can probably figure out how to add it sometime next week

EDIT: Never mind. I fixed it.
