This is probably a dumb question but the Sam Revised Portrait-Seasonal just changes his hair, sprite, and portrait, yes?? This mod being the updated (add-on) version that works for 1.6. All the outfits from Seasonal Cute Characters works with it? The costumes, spring summer fall, festivals, beach, extra? I know that that SCC is required I just want to make sure I understand. I'm new to Stardew Valley (Just finished year 1) and new to modding scene.
Hi! This is not a standalone mod, it's a supplement to the original, so you'll need the original two mods, then this just adds the sprites for all the seasonal outfits.
for me there is now just the folder "Sam revised hair additions" in the "assets" folder and it didn´t tell me that files have to be replaced. Is that how its supposed to be?
Hi! So I have this installed (along with the original mod) and followed the instructions, replacing the necessary files etc., but both versions of the mod don't work for me. Sam's sprite and portraits have the original hair, and it doesn't give any error in SMAPI logs when I launch the game, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I double checked that there weren't any old sam files in the mods folder that might be overwriting it, and I'm super confused why it won't work. Please lmk if there's any fixes for this :') I love the mod sm !!
Hi there! Be sure when you have this mod downloaded, that you also have the original mod downloaded as well. you need both at the same time for the mod to work, since this mod is just an add-on to the original. hope this helps
Hi! I plan to update this as needed! If there is a new seasonal outfits update, I will update this so it matches the newest version. As far as I'm aware, there isn't any new outfits for the new festivals, but if there are updates in the future, I will do so for this one!
Hey! There is a new update for the seasonal outfits mod that adds multiple sam portraits for the beach. I was wondering if you'd still be interested in updating it?
hey, so idk if there's something wrong with the files or if I'm just dumb, but whenever I run SMAPI it tells me that the folders for this mod (and the portraits one) are empty.
Hi! Just checking, but when you unzipped it, did you make sure to put the files in the "Seasonal Outfits - Slightly Cuter Aesthetic" folder? These images should be put in place of any of Sam's images in each folder. Example: if you move the images in the Beach folder to the matching one in Seasonal Outfits, you'll have to replace the existing png with this version. Then so on for each festival. On its own, this won't do anything in game if it's not put in that master folder for the seasonal characters.
I got the hairs to work, but he still looks super saiyan outside of festivals. (Like the day before the luau, Sam was doing kickflips in front of his house and he had his Goku hair. Also when I went into his house and he dropped an egg.) Then at the luau, he had his luau hair from the mod. So it half worked for me, unless that's just how it's meant to be?
That means the festivals worked! You have to put the original mod in to get the normal everyday clothes. This mod only adds festival edits. It's linked in the description and in the requirements! :)
I created a folder and put everything in a separate folder to help me out a bit. So I took "everyday" portraits and put them in Sam - Portraits. For festival portraits, I put them in Sam - Festival Portraits. Then for the outfits, I just put them in a folder called Sam - Festivals. I also put the OG PNGs directly into the Seasonal Cute folder. Then I just copied all the contents of the separate folders and put them in their corresponding folder in Seasonal Cute.
I put a tutorial in the images, and I reuploaded the zip file just to be safe. Try again, with Sam Revised Hair + Seasonal Outfits + Content Patcher installed?

To make OP's instructions INCREDIBLY easier to follow:
