Hi, Im constantly getting a notification from smapi to update the mod AT Seasonal Hedge Fence 1.0.8: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/21813 (you have 1.0.6)
the thing is 1.0.8 is a CP version but I want to stick with AT ver. Could you please consider fixing it? thank you
if you still haven't found any solution and since we haven't get any new update, you can add this manually if you want and it is really simple... you open the folder of this mod, then open the "manifest.json" with notepad. You can see the 'Version: "1.0.6"'. that's the one you want to change to the newest version of the mod. so now there will be no pesky purple text in SMAPI...
but if you change that way, you don't have a choice but check Nexus for the update manually if the author add the next version update for the AT is the same "1.0.8"
you can do it to other mods that kinda have this problem, don't worry it's safe! I've been done this since there's mods that have the wrong "version" in their manifest file even after I download the newest and different version of its mod.
I was having this same issue as well. I did what you had said in this reply to kariiiii. The purple text did disappear but I cannot change the AT of the stone fence in the summer. I could change in the spring but now I cannot in the summer. I looked at the mod contents and checked and made sure the texture pack was not deleted in the mod itself. That's was not the issue. I've even went to the mods in game to see what was there and all the textures were there except the stone fence for summer. Can you please help me figure out what's going on here?
Hey Jenna, absolutely love your work, very cute hedge fences, me and my hubby are fans of those. Though, If you don't mind, I was wondering what type of grass/flooring you took the swatch snip for your hedge fences? I see no gaps between stone flooring and grass in those images, and I've been looking for that type of flooring for ages, please let me know! x
Do they look different in game from each other? What I mean is, if I put ironfence as starryblue and hardwood as well, will they look any different? I wanna know cuz if not, then I know I can leave some of them as vanilla if I want to.
Great question Luloshi! The fence type should not impact the appearance, the configuration just lets you pick which ones get replaced and how. You can assign each fence type a different color or set, you can keep some vanilla and some not. This also lets you mix it with other CP mods better too!
Cool!! Thanks for the repply!! Also I dunno if it's asking too much, but would you consider doing one that is not a replacement? I will replace iron for now as it doesn't really appeal too much to me, but it would be pretty nice to have all of them!
I'm pretty new to the modding game, so this could be a "me" problem, but the fences look like this? Is this how they're supposed to look? I thought it was going to look like a hedge and I can't figure out how to fix it! Everything is up to date (I downloaded everything yesterday haha). You can also see what the wood fences look like in the top left corner, too. What am I missing? Thank you so much in advance!
I am about to upload an update. If that does fix it, please let me know. If it does not, could I ask you to type "patch summary jennajuffuffles.seasonalhedgefence" into smapi and to create a new log?
Good news is the mod works again, bad news is the fences still look identical to the screenshot above! I am fully prepared to accept that this is a "me" problem and hopefully a future update accidentally fixes it haha
There are new options in the configuration, that may be cause an issue if you don' thave an updated configuration. Please try deleting your config file to generate a new one.
Hey CocoEr3k, I tried to recreate the issue you reported, but even when I downloaded the mods in your log, I still wasn't able to recreate and the fence appeared normally for me.
Hopefully the updated version of the mod will work better.
These are beautiful, and I love them. A question though. In the response exchange below I got the impression that you should be able to "manage which fences are replaced", but I see no option to set any of them to off or vanilla, only an option to enable or disable the mod as a whole that is listed as "Enable Custom gates". I'd like to choose which fences get replaced. Could I request that you add a vanilla option to each fence type? I'd like to be able to choose different fences for different purposes instead of having all 4 replaced with a single choice, however pretty it may be.
In 1.0.0 you could select the season (or seasonal) for each fence, and then select if they would all be using the Starblue or Ashajin colorway. There was a "classic" option that would return the selected fence to its default appearance, listed last.
In the current version, 1.0.1 you can select the colorway on a per-fence basis, and "disabeld" replaced the "classic" language for clarity. Which I believe is what you are requesting. You do need to scroll UP to see disabled though, so you may have missed it?
I will rename the "enable custom gates option" at the top though because i believe right now its acting as an enable/disable for the whole mod. I think it just got mixed up when I was adding translation support, easy to fix. I'll also move the disables to make them easier to find in 1.0.2
This mod will replace all four of your default fences with seasonal hedge fences by default.
Use GMCM (Generic Mod Config Manager) to manage which fences are replaced, and if they are seasonal or specific designs. You can also swap between different color ways (my Starblue version or Ashajin's more earthy designs).

Added as an optional file.
