I just turned off Seb's seasonal outfit. Which sucks but his original sprite does match this mod better than the seasonal outfit one does. You don't have to disable all of the seasonal cute outfits though!
if you know how to edit and use gimp you can easily make both these mods to work
my fix for both mods to work together is editing seasonal's mod Sebastian portrait and put the hair asset from this mod on it (i don't like any of the other edits this mod has just the hair) like copy and paste basically you don't even need this mod installed once you do so only seasonal because you will be replacing seasonal assets with this mod assets that way you can still have this mod portraits with seasonal outfits
now your gonna have to do some editing in gimp to get it to look good with certain outfits like the beanie from seasonal and a few other things
if i had permission i would upload my edited version of both these mods for him however it wouldn't be an actual mod of course just a file with all the edited portraits that all you would have to do is is copy and paste them in seasonal's Sebastain portrait file and it would look like a seasonal version for him and all, i been trying to edit the sprite but that is more tricky then the portrait but if you want to have both you can do my fix
First of all thank you for providing a solution to make these mods work together. ^_^ Unfortunately I'm not skilled enough to edit those portraits and make them look good. Yes.. I tried. xD
With that being said, in case you cannot contact the original mod author, you should be able to upload your edits without any problem. The permissions tab in the original mod page states that you are allowed to modify the files, as long as you give the proper credits. :)
ill see what i can do then thank you for the information but given how i am using 3 mods i would need permission from all 3 mods i used to edit i just forgot to add the other one i use as well lol
Oh , no worries. ^_^ I know of this mod, I used it in the past but it is no longer compatible with Seasonal Outfits. And yes you are right, both Kit's Sebastian and Seasonal Outfits have open permissions but Seasonal Sebastian does not. You'll have to ask the author for that one.
If you manage to upload your edits I would love to use them since this is my favourite hairstyle for Sebastian. ^_^ I wish you good luck on your endeavors. :)
you are right they dont have open permission so i re-edited my images and only used the vanilla hairstyle as a base instead, to fill in some places this mod and seasonal outfits dont cover, because this hair is based of the vanilla hairstyle and seasonals is a much shorter version of the vanilla with some recoloring and all, but i still credited seasonal outfits - sebastian anyway because i originally had their hair as a base for my edits even posted a link to their mod as well. for those who rather have their edited version of seasonal outfits but given how it is not compatible i might have to leave a comment on my post explaining how to get their mod working again because i think all you have to do is the same thing you gotta do with my file is replace seasonal outfits portrait file with their file as well to get it to work again. i havent used theirs in so long because of my own edited version.
but i may can not upload it here because its not really a mod and i dont really know how to go about doing that but i will be posting a file to deviantart with all the edited portrait images if that is ok.
this link should take you right to it in the description i explain what to do and where to place the images Sebastian by Emotori7 on DeviantArt
i made it clear all credits goes to this mod author, the original author, the author of seasonal outfits and the author of Seasonal Outfits - Sebastian in the description all i did was edit the portrait assets, i even put links to this mod and their mods so people will know where my edited assets file came from.
now like i said before its wont be a mod or patch mod its just a file folder
but if this mod author or if the seasonal outfits mod author wants the file taken down then i will, or if they would like to have the edited portrait images for Sebastian to have and to turn into a mod then they can have them and ill even take the file down if they wish me to.
i am only just happy to help you still be able to enjoy both their mods!
You are awesome! Thank you soooo much for uploading your edits! I downloaded it earlier this day and it works like a charm. ^_^ Your instructions are very clear and I had no trouble installing it at all. The permissions are very clear as well, so I don't think you will have any trouble. I'll keep an eye out and if I find any problems I'll let you know. ^_^
You are correct about Seasonal Sebastian, the installation is very similar to yours. The problem is that Seasonal Outfits got updated after 1.6 but Seasonal Sebastian did not. So many of the new outfits still have the short haircut. I used that mod up until 1.6 and since I was not skilled enough to fix it I searched for something else and found this one.
There are quite a few mods similar to yours here on nexus. Especially for Seasonal Outfits. But its up to you if you want to upload it here. There is a mod that is made specifically for people that are not very good at coding but still want to create a CP version of their portraits and sprites. It's made by AirynS and you can find it here. You can take a look and see if it helps you in any way. ^_^
The sprites must be a lot of pain. xD I can only imagine the work that needs to be done. >.<
If Teki feels like making the needed edits to the art, I'll gladly do the coding. She's quite into making her scarecrows right now, though, so it probably won't be soon.
