The main purposes of this mod are to add matching portraits and sprites for the children when they talk in the events from Immersive Family, and also when you talk to them via Unique Children Talk. The events in Immersive Family use vanilla toddler and toddler girl as actors, so there is no such thing like you can see 5 children in the events from IF. So this mod works as it is now, you can choose sprites and portraits for each child, but 1 boy and 1 girl only, as in vanilla game, and I don't see any way or reason to make this mod supports 5 different children.
If you just want to use different portraits for 5 children when you talk to them, UCT framework supports that, so you may download the portraits pack and check UCT mod page for how to use it manually.
Yes, there will be issues, eapecially if your child is dark skinned toddler. The AT config of immersive family should only be used if you are using AT mod to change their overworld sprite.
If you want to use the sprite of this mod, please install this mod according to the instructions.
ok:) and one last question, if for example I installed this mod before even having a child or marriage, what should I do with the "boyname" and "girlname" should I edit the name after having the child or do I put it in now?
The children's name config for this mod (and also the immersive family) is to allow the children to use the correct portrait and name when they are at toddler stage. So you can fill in those after getting your newborn baby.

Hi there! I absolutely adore the portraits and sprites used in this mod and was wondering if I'd be allowed to recolor and/or publish recolored versions? I'd love to add more to this fantastic mod but I wanted to get permission first and foremost :)
Hi, basically if you want to improve the color of the existing portraits, please leave the original mod as a requirement.
If your version only adds new color and does not contain/replace files from this mod, feel free to release it, just a credit to the original mod is fine.
I wonder what you are going to add, in case you want to know, we are in the process of making SVE spouses ones. As for RSV one, it may take more time to make, and we probably won't make for all NPCs. So please let us know what you want to make, so we won’t do the same thing.

I'm having some trouble finding the UsePortraitMOD in the config option. It just says Alternate texture toddler sprites, and I missing something, I think I downloaded everything I need to Maybe something is conflicting?

At least I didn't notice anything unusual when I used that option doing test run with Harvey as spouse.
