    Is anybody else having a problem where trying to download the newest version doesn't work because it has no manifest and the files are not read correctly by SMAPI? Here's the specific error I'm getting, no matter how I download the file.

    [SMAPI]       - catGifts\i18n because it contains files, but none of them are manifest.json.

      For a brief period yesterday, the uploaded file was incorrect. Try re-downloading the current version. If that does not work, make sure that your folder structure is correct (.../Stardew Valley/Mods/catGifts/).

      I believe the reason is that the zip file does not contain the "catGifts" folder with the mod files inside, but the mod files directly

      I have just downloaded the update and it's still like this.
      I'll copy the files inside this folder, but I believe it can be confusing this way.

      Thank you, you're right. I reuploaded it with the correct folder structure. No need to redownload if you already fixed it yourself!

    This is kind of a nitpick, but when my pet delivers a gift, the in-game notification has a star icon like when you get an achievement. I believe the only time the vanilla game uses that icon is for new achievements, so it's a little immersion-breaking. 
    I think the mod would integrate with the game more smoothly if the "!" icon were used instead, like Last Day to Plant? does. It's a pretty small thing but every time the star pops up or the cat gift, it makes me aware that I'm playing with a mod.
    Other than that, this mod is awesome! Thanks for your work :)

    I would like to know if the mod is compatible with More Animals because I have a cat and a dog, but I don't understand the mod very well because I can't say if it doesn't work or if I just had no luck ... I speak Spanish and my English is not very good so I try to defend myself as I can.

      I took a tiny peek at the code and just from that glance I think you should be fine?? If I had More Animals I would test it, and I might take a swing at checking for compatibility sometime. I'll let you know if/when I find out.

    Seems like a great mod and what I hope to have in game, but does it compatible with More Animals? I have more than 20 pets so I'm a little bit worried...
